Manchester Mike Posted April 23, 2003 Posted April 23, 2003 You will all no doubt be aware that the biggest and I say without fear of contradiction, the best Kit Car show of the year is on the 4th and 5th of May (next bank holiday). It would be nice, not to say a hoot, if we could get a gang of us together to travel down the M6 in convoy. My plan is to go on the Sunday and Camp over, so SUNDAY the 4th who’s going?? Paul will set the time but I’m just looking to get the ball rolling. Needless to say if any other Westies travelling down to Stoneleigh would like to join us, you would be more than welcome. Quote
Manchester Mike Posted April 23, 2003 Author Posted April 23, 2003 I’ve already had a couple of calls about the time and place, I think for now we should just try to get some idea of how many are going and from where. The meeting place and time should then be more obvious. Quote
Mike dB Posted April 23, 2003 Posted April 23, 2003 I will be travelling down with Mr Beeland all being well (not p1ssing down!. I'll have my cheque book & credit cards in pocket! Sounds like a good idea to me, as long as it's not too early a start! Quote
Bananaman Posted April 23, 2003 Posted April 23, 2003 I could be up for this assuming I still have a car by then (see For Sale section) What about meeting at the Services just passed J19 M6? Andy Quote
Mark Stanton Posted April 23, 2003 Posted April 23, 2003 I'll have my cheque book & credit cards in pocket! Cheques or cash only for WSCC membership - C ya in big white marquee Quote

Mike dB Posted April 23, 2003 Posted April 23, 2003 wheres Stoneleigh? How much to get in. Just south of Birmingham I think (20 miles past?) Dunno about an entrance fee, 1st time of going.. Quote
Mike dB Posted April 23, 2003 Posted April 23, 2003 Cheques or cash only for WSCC membership - C ya in big white marquee Ok, a rubber cheque for Mr Stanton it is then Quote
Manchester Mike Posted April 23, 2003 Author Posted April 23, 2003 OK, there are a couple of comments that need replies: Mike dB: How about a meet at Knutsford J19 M6 south, with (I have a new clutch cable) Mr. Beeland Bananaman: as above Wrightster: the question is are coming with us? Sideways-Darren: Stoneliegh is south of Coventry, it’s free to kit car drivers, but the passengers normally have to pay. So I’m assuming the list now looks like this:- Paul Hurdsfield, Manchester Mike, Marcus, Mike dB, Mr. Beeland, Bananaman, Wrightster, Sideways-Darren & Paul Helsby That’s nine possible, looking good. Mark Stanton Posted April 23, 2003 Posted April 23, 2003 Just to confirm - Stoneleigh is at the Royal Showground / National Agricultural Centre (NAC) at Stoneleigh near Kenilworth (in the Midlands) Free entry to drivers attending in their kit cars, passengers to be paid for. More info is in the last club magazine and on previous posts on this boardroom Quote
