To upload an Avatar try this....

Click on your user name at the top right hand corner of the screen and select the "My Settings" link in the drop down options.

Under the general account settings heading click the box to change your photo and follow the links.

I found it easier to upload my avatar photo directly from the pc rather than via the web. The picture needs to be quite small for it to work, so i resized mine using Microsoft paint to 106x106 pixels.
