Pistol Pete Posted April 4, 2012 Posted April 4, 2012 Following the fanastic turn out for last Sunday's blat, hands up for another one on the 19/20 May? I have a route in mind that will be slightly less trodden to the last one, but just as fun and a little bit less traffic. I'm just not sure what the cafe will be like and not sure where we will end up yet. Obviously Tigger wont be there but I expect eveyone else to have a really good excuse! Quote
Matt F Posted April 4, 2012 Posted April 4, 2012 I'm in if its the Sunday, working on the Saturday unfortunatly Tigger, are you still out there?? Time to step up and take it like a man...... Quote
Mark (smokey mow) Posted April 4, 2012 Posted April 4, 2012 Provissionally I'm in but May is filling up rapidly for me Quote
Pistol Pete Posted April 4, 2012 Author Posted April 4, 2012 I should point out that while you lot are doing a quick trip up to Stoneleigh I'll be on a 1250 mile road trip of Britain with a four (yes 4) speed gearbox - and loving every minute of it. Quote
Mark (smokey mow) Posted April 4, 2012 Posted April 4, 2012 Quick Trip to Stoneleigh not a chance, we'll all be parked up on the M1 trying to get Tigger moving again Quote
Pistol Pete Posted April 4, 2012 Author Posted April 4, 2012 :d :d LOL, Suddenly I see your point! Quote
Johnny88 Posted April 5, 2012 Posted April 5, 2012 19/20 May sounds good at the moment, count me in Quote
Tyson Posted April 5, 2012 Posted April 5, 2012 Count us in for either day .......or both come to think of it. Quote
Pistol Pete Posted April 6, 2012 Author Posted April 6, 2012 Looks like the Sunday is the most popular. The half way cafe is at West Mersea Island, now the important point here is the Island bit - I've been warned I need to check when high tide is, as we may either not get to it or not get of it. I'm also thinking of a 8:30 meet at the Lodge for 9am start in order to avoid the traffic. Quote
Mark (smokey mow) Posted April 6, 2012 Posted April 6, 2012 High tide is 12:50 (lunchtime) on the 20th, and it's a 4.6m tide. I don't think that's quite high enough for the Strood to cover the road, IIRC it needs to be over 5m. Quote
SootySport Posted April 8, 2012 Posted April 8, 2012 I should be OK for this one, car is up and running now but funny how I seem to find other things to upgrade, tart up, and new Westfield 4 pots arriving Tuesday. Think it's called "Upgraditus". Quote
Pistol Pete Posted April 8, 2012 Author Posted April 8, 2012 Sorry I have just realised I am double booked for sunday (10 mile charity run) so will have to saturday. Quote
