dhutch Posted April 21, 2010 Posted April 21, 2010 Doesnt look right to me? 2008, with a SE scuttle and bonnet, and all the wrong rear. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/2008-WE....42aaeb0 Quote
SteveD Posted April 21, 2010 Posted April 21, 2010 pre lit type rear end work ,all seems odd but hay ho Quote
stephenh Posted April 21, 2010 Posted April 21, 2010 How can it be MOT'd until July 2011? All very dodgey. Quote
Mark Stanton Posted April 21, 2010 Posted April 21, 2010 don't forget that Pre-lit bodywork is not available unless by special order and returning old bodywork and that standard narrow body SE bodywork does fit onto a pre lit chassis so quite easy to have a pre-lit rear end and an SE narrow front Modified chassis presumably some cutting and fettling involved to get engine so far back - if done right would be o.k ...... just needs a check over and look see Quote
dhutch Posted April 21, 2010 Author Posted April 21, 2010 if done right would be o.k ...... just needs a check over and look see ? Yeah, it may well be a cracking car at a cracking price. - But what it isnt is a new, 2008 plate, westfeild. Quote

pistonbroke Posted April 21, 2010 Posted April 21, 2010 Read the rest of it guys 2.0 Zetec Custom Westfield, genuine westfield body work on a modified westfield chassis. features include 1994 2.0 zetec (rebuilt 2500 miles ago) griffin power injection system omex ecu raceline water rail AEM wideband lambda sensor DIGIDASH I assume its 94 car re built 2008 , but clever wording Quote
peterg Posted April 21, 2010 Posted April 21, 2010 No, it says first registered July 2008 (hence needing an MOT in July 2011 as well) and my 1990 Westfield had a 1994 zetec engine in it to so does that make it a 1994 car or a 2008 car or a 1990 car Quote
adamnreeves Posted April 21, 2010 Posted April 21, 2010 Don't be so quick to write it off. It does say custom westfield. Speak to the owner he'll probably tell you all the reasons. Engine further back could be to improve handling I guess. Quote

lippydave Posted April 21, 2010 Posted April 21, 2010 Surely it's simply a Locost built using part of an original Westfield chassis.... That's my best guess... Quote
Blatman Posted April 21, 2010 Posted April 21, 2010 Surely it's simply a Locost built using part of an original Westfield chassis.... That's my best guess... I had the same fleeting thought... Quote
