Captain Colonial
Quite adequate Cleggy, will do nicely. Everyone is telling you hurry up - don't. Care and detail now will give a long and trouble-free life later. You're doing great. However, if after all this and taking us all with you on this adventure, and you end up selling the car within 12 months, we reserve the right to staple your knees together, stick a cork up your A*** and feed you laxative all day until you explode. (That might have been Valium-fuelled - sorry.)
Cleggy the Spyder Man
thanks chap - I must admit I would be gutted if I had to sell the spyder I would much rather get rid of the westy if push came to shove - I enjoy it immensely but am not attached to it in any way In fact the westy may be up for sale some time soon as I have a wedding to pay for

Cleggy the Spyder Man
well it has been a while - not much done due to some building work (nice big shed being built big enough to take the westy and hopefully lots more stuff out of the garage) looking forwards to the extra room anyway I have made up a few brackets - the alloy sheet I purchased did not come with a blue film on to protect it so I just stuck some masking tape on to protect it from scratches first job was a change of fixing for the fuel pump which I have now decided to mounted elsewhere on the tub - basically cut the sheet out to size, marked up where the bends and curves were going to start and finish and bent around round tube and flat pieces of bar - I don't think a proper bending machine could have done these size bits much better TBH masking taped up to protect - this is the bracket that is going to hold the regulator away from the fibreglass (apparently they get rather hot - this will then be mounted on the rear of the fibreglass tub) aluminium is so easy to work with - inspiration from Windys thread all temp put together I suppose it is best to use some rubber between the pump and the alloy brackets now hurry up Tony get that shed built
Martin Keene
What did you bend the aluminium round to make the fuel pump bracket?
