Cleggy the Spyder Man
Cleggy I think if my memory serves me correctly the fuel tank on mine was the original beetle item. lewis that's interesting - I have a dub specialist coming around today, I will ask him
Cleggy the Spyder Man
I am still currently stripping things down - as you will see the main body is now ready to remove - just need to rustle up some m8s for a lift I had a local Dub expert around on Saturday (thanks Fish) - i was pointed in the right direction and now have a big shopping list see the special modification to the fan housing to get it to fit under bonnet - they have hit it with a hammer and the air filter which was just sitting on top not actually doing anything so the plan at the moment is a remote air filter and a fan housing of a Trekker which is apparently lower the the standard beetle one
Cleggy the Spyder Man
added to the existing problem with the column - the current column has been shortened to fit - the problem is rather than cut a section out of the middle of the column, sleeve then weld, the builder just lopped a bit off the end which means that there is no spline in the column end so if the securing clip came loose there would be b****r all to stop it from spinning around
Cleggy the Spyder Man
heat exchangers that provide heat to the front are being removed - not much point in having then on really
spence
b****y hell Cleggy, Can't believe the builder would shorten the steering column like that, that's unbelievable.
