Cleggy the Spyder Man
tonight 40 minutes sees the the lowered floor pan framework tacked up one side resting in place supported by a chunk of box section run out of box section now so might look at another part of the car tomorrow night - these pans have been dragging on forever

Cleggy the Spyder Man
you need to give Dave a ring to arrange a head session chap - he's a good old boy managed to lift his engine out with him the other day so you are not the only one without sexy transport at the moment one side now in place and part welded up takes the seat pretty well - other side tomorrow night I keep thinking about how to fit the panels to the framework I have fitted - I am thinking of using a combination of thin sheet steel for the odd shaped bits and tack welding - and then aluminium for the bigger areas, rivetted as per a westy what do you reckon peeps? slater
QUOTE I keep thinking about how to fit the panels to the framework I have fitted How about bonding them with tiger seal or silkaflex ? you are going to bond the body anyway unless you use the beetle rubber gasket, lewis
Cleggy the Spyder Man
Pistonbroke - I know what you mean it does look a bit beefy, although I have had a couple of m8's around and they both have said it looks nowhere near as chunky as it looks in the photo's somebody has commented "I know where to come if I need a ladder making up"
Cleggy the Spyder Man
Lewis - not sure about using sealers/glue type stuff - I will probably use the beetle rubber seal for the body as I want the flexibility of beeing able to remove it in the future Cheers chap keep them ideas coming, I am all ears
