you need to give Dave a ring to arrange a head session chap - he's a good old boy  :t-up: managed to lift his engine out with him the other day so you are not the only one without sexy transport at the moment

one side now in place and part welded up

takes the seat pretty well - other side tomorrow night

I keep thinking about how to fit the panels to the framework I have fitted - I am thinking of using a combination of thin sheet steel for the odd shaped bits and tack welding - and then aluminium for the bigger areas, rivetted as per a westy

what do you reckon peeps?

How about bonding them with tiger seal or silkaflex ? you are going to bond the body anyway unless you use the beetle rubber gasket,

Pistonbroke - I know what you mean it does look a bit beefy, although I have had a couple of m8's around and they both have said it looks nowhere near as chunky as it looks in the photo's

somebody has commented "I know where to come if I need a ladder making up"

Lewis - not sure about using sealers/glue type stuff - I will probably use the beetle rubber seal for the body as I want the flexibility of beeing able to remove it in the future

Cheers chap keep them ideas coming, I am all ears  :t-up:

you guys need to get your cars sorted so we can get a ride out - I am in need of a blat, and a tune up as I am still getting that hesitation under part throttle (not too bothered as I only drive on 3/4 to full throttle  ;)  )
