Cleggy the Spyder Man
the old metro's were a pile of crap - me mum had two and were always trouble (remember spinning here "sport" metro on the A1 when I was an old boy) ... was attempting a hand brake turn on a slip road and the hand brake got stuck on (think they worked differently where the button worked in a different manner) - anyway ended up facing the opposite way in a slip road ...dont panic captain mannering
Nic Ayre
Here we go then. Fiat 850 (field car when I was about 10) Cortina 1600E (1st car) Morris 8 Series E (1939) Sunbeam Rapier Fiat 126 bought for a laugh Cortina Mk4 2000 Capri Mk1 in lime green taken in part ex for the above. Fiesta 1300S later fitted with 1.3CVH (not one of my best ideas) Cortina 1600 Mk5 Mk1 Escort 1300GT 4dr Mk2 Escort 1600, wish I hadn't sold it!or the Mk1 above Mk2 Granada Ghia 2.8 Metro 1300 Land Rover series 3 SWB Diesel Land Rover series 3 SWB Petrol MG Maestro 2.0 EFi Mini 1046cc Autotest car. Mk2 Vauxhall Cavalier 1.8 SRi, cracking motor, great Road rally car and finished 5th o/a in the ASWMC Autocross Championship in 1998. Subaru Legacy quad cam turbo saloon. Another cracking road rally car and probably should have kept it, not many on the road these days. BMW 325i Autocross car (as featured in MSA Blue Book) Mondeo 2.0 TDCi Ghia X current everyday / tow car Westfield SE 1600 x/flow Toyota Corolla (wifes old car, but keeping it for the odd car trial or autosolo) Mazda 2 (wifes car) much better than the new Fiesta!! Plus a load of company cars inbetween from the VW and Ford ranges and a few others that have slipped my mind with old age. Nic
markh1970
Short and sweet: Fiat 126 (died when it blew the spark plug with thread out of the engine). Fiat Panda (should have learned by now) Fiat Punto 1.2 (nope) Citroen ZX 1.6 Rover 220SDi (cracked the sunroof with the torque!) Vectra 2.0Di (crap) Focus 1.8i (great handling car) Golf V6 4Motion 2.8 (more like it) Golf R32 Mk4 (second best car I have had) Golf R32 Mk5 DSG Passat CC 2.0TSI (two kids now!) Oh and a Westfield Megabusa

markcoopers
Too many to list, but not many were sold on, they all seamed to die. The 1st was a Vauxhal chevett. I looked it untill the floor fell out one afternoon. Stuart, whats the Passat cc like, i looked at it and liked it, but could not get the notion of paying more for less out of my mind and teh dealer was the nail in the coffin, but often wonder if i missed a good car? markh1970
The Passat CC has surprised me. How often do I need to carry 5 people? Not often. Boot is huge, seats fold for more space. Looks better than normal Passat, is bigger inside. I have the 2 ltr turbo petrol, 200bhp, nice engine. Air conditioned seats, great A road and motorway cruiser. So over the standard Passat you miss one seat, but all the other parts just look and feel better.

GreigM
Difficult to remember as there's been a number, but roughly in order: Peugeot 106 D-turbo (great wee car!) Alfa Romeo 155 Ti Porsche Boxster 2.7 (986 facelift) Nissan Primera 1.6 Porsche 911 GT3 Clubsport Porsche Boxster 550 Spyder (2004 anniversary model) Ford Escort 1.8TD Ferrari 360 Modena Porsche Boxster 3.2S (987) Westfield Megablade and the Current Fleet: Porsche 911 Turbo (996) Westfield Megabusa Ferrari 512TR I've left out the wife's cars which generally equal the family cars and I do more miles in than anything else, for example there's currently a Mazda 6 2.0 TS2 TD which is a brilliant car - 130K miles and drives like new, does babies, taking things to the tip and tows the westie to track....brilliant....
