Black Citroen AX - some people used to think this was going to roll over when it went round corners!

Red Rover 214Si (first shape)

Purple (!) Rover 216Si (hatch shape)

remapped Bronze Seat Leon 20VT Cupra

Red Honda Civic iCDTi                 ****

Orange Westfield 1600 CVH

Blue Westfield 1800 Speedsport ****

**** current cars

My favorite tin top had to have been the Leon, went like a ballistic missile at warp factor nine all day in complete comfort and quiet. However petrol costs and a 70 mile round trip to work meant I had to give it up for something cheaper to run.

Fiat 500 C 1953 - regret selling to this day - Enzo had one as a daily driver that now belongs to David Piper.

Moggy Minor series 1 - buried in a ditch

Moggy minor series 2 - buried in the side of a PB Cresta

Moggy Minor series 2 - 1275 engine - no brakes

Cortina Mk1 - dropped a valve through a piston on M1 in 1970

Cortina Mk2 - lost on ice - hit traffic sign - new bodyshell

Cortina Mk3 - collected by errant biker

Cavalier Mk1 - very nice driver - sold intact (growing up now)

Astra Mk1 1300 - one of the first - absolute belter - revved like fury

Astra Mk1 1600 5 speed - plush and a cruiser but not as much fun as 1300

Belmont - yesss well, we all make mistakes - no1 son has never forgiven me but it was a GLS with virtually the same engine as GTE and it did go well

Lancia Prisma LX - yes, you may laugh but it was after the Beta debacle and it was built like a tank but with a sweet 1600 twink screamer - loved that car - blew it's sump plug out on A45 and imitated Red Arrows

Renault 21 5 dr 2 ltr injection - looked like hell but was quick and comfortable and (surprisingly never went wrong in 125k)

Peugeot 405 N/A diesel - groan - what a come down from a 2 ltr flyer - had to turn A/C off to get anywhere....slowly - didn't last long

Peugeot 405 GTX t/diesel - now you're talking - a flier with a good chassis and many toys - another 125k'er with no probs - lost it's life on M25

Passat TDi - smoooth, quick, different league to all before and built like a Tiger Tank - first of my Germans - 126k without a spanner

Audi A6 - even more quality - enough space for a tennis court - terrific cruiser but wore out front tyres at a rate of knots - one anti lock sensor in 128k

BMW 320 D (latest shape) - dream chassis - absolute hooligan - had to be driven - another one loved but also hated by memsahib

Volvo V70 2.4T - 200 horsepowers in beige (now retired) - surprising turn of speed (but hanging nose over another 50 horseowers - don't tell the mem) - many, many toys and very comfortable

Oh and, of course, something called a Westfield, I believe  :D

Mine is a VERY short list. I kind of get attached and obsessive to my cars.

1. Austin Mini (Thrashed it to death)

2. Vauxhall Belmont (Smashed it up while intoxicated - nothing to be proud of)

3. Mk2 Astra GTE (Broke to pay for the Westy)

4. The Westy.
