Andrew
I've got a BAT trackday voucher to spend. Looking for suggestions. At first I thought Rockingham, but the only one we're free to do is June 13th. Would also consider a trip to Anglesey. Anyone?? Suggestions please. (BAT only) oops wrong section...

Andrew
I've done both circuits before, yes Anglesey is good, but the infield at Rockingham is surprisingly good too. You also get to blast round a bit of the banked track. Anglesey is a stop over for us, whereas we can get to Rockingham with an early start. I'll do either, it's just nice to have a bit of company. CedricTheBrave
I'm up for that day Andrew my car is ready to rock now. I will check with kids duties and when I have booked it I will let you know. edited to add Rockingham gets my vote its 380 odd miles to angelsey
nikpro
Andrew, do Rockingham - Angelsey is now overate IMO - the Old Angelsey was better. Try to get Jonny to do the normal international circuit rather than the 'international long'. The shorter international circuit is far better and contains the best left hand corner in the UK - Jonny doesn't like it cause he can't do left handers!! Andrew
OK, thats two for Rockingham. I've only done one trackday at Rockingham, it was the "International super sportscar circuit" (I think) It used the wiggly esses behind the pits, onto the oval. It was a lot better than I was expecting, they've built some nice gradients in the infield. Nikpro, which left hander?
langy
I've driven both circuits and both are very good. The infield at Rockingham is very good

If you haven't been to Rockingham, it's well worth a visit. Click here for BAT's website
nikpro
Andrew, it's the one at 1.19 on the vid (The very long 180 deg left hander), correctly taken it can be done with just one turn of the steering wheel all the way through! This is the circuit that's best: MaX 5 Rockingham Race 2 from Fraser White on Vimeo.
Andrew
Yep, that's the same one we did last time. According to BAT's website the next one is the "International". Slightly longer circuit with an exciting looking high speed chicane. I dont think it will dissapoint on the day. Any more takers?
Andrew
BTW, is there a speed advantage running close to the wall? I'm sure I've heard of Locost racers at Snetterton running close to the pit wall to gain a few mph..
CedricTheBrave
I am pretty sure the only advantage will be weight distribution when you sh*t yourself
