alistairolsen
going volvo 5 cylinder route with loads of revs, big power, 320bhp ish and as little torque as possible to make it more drivable Should hopefuly be lighter too this time round as the block is all alloy What gearbox are you planning on using with that block? clutch? any idea of the safe rev limit on a set of decent rod bolts and an otherwise untouched bottom end? cheers
RS WST
Using a Quaife type 9 sequential box I have a volvo 960 detachable bell housing with adapter plate which I have designed Having some adapters machined up this week, picking up the alloy today Also doing an adapter for the T5 box as well I've also had a race flywheel designed for the volvo to accept a 7.25 inch race clutch Rev limit depends on what stroke engine you have, I'm running a 77mm with steel rods
alistairolsen
type 9 sounds pleasantly expensive! Ah, didnt realise the M90 had a detachable bellhousing! how much would you want for an adaptor for the T5 box? hmm, for road use id prefer a big normal clutch tbh Im on the standard 2.3 litre 5 cylinder as founf in 850 t5s. trying to stick witht he stock bottom end, but I know the rods are rubbish! cheers for your help! RS WST
Material costs are high as the spacer is 1.5" thick and about 14" x 12" Will decide on cost when I have them finished
