thebutler Posted April 8, 2008 Posted April 8, 2008 Hi, I've been looking into the feasability of fitting one to my Mazda SDV build. From the research I've done apart from swapping the dash and getting a new crashpad (the Mazda one's in two pieces to go around the contoured dash) it looks pretty straight forward. I never muched like the idea of using the Mazda instruments anyway So basically count me in! The ETB site description mentions the kit includes a fuel sender. Can the original WF VDO item be used? Cheers, Steve Quote
dombanks Posted April 8, 2008 Posted April 8, 2008 speak to jon at etb. ive just ordered all the bits from them for my build and he just put the package together with the right components. if it doesnt the sender in the kit will fit your tank (he asked me loads of questions to determine what tank i had) and use that instead. Martin Keene Posted April 9, 2008 Posted April 9, 2008 The ETB site description mentions the kit includes a fuel sender. Can the original WF VDO item be used? Yep... The Digitools software can be programmed to accept signals from the ETB sender, a VDO arm sender, a VDO Diptube sender or a general sender with a range of X-Y ohms. Quote

dombanks Posted April 20, 2008 Posted April 20, 2008 nice switches sedsy. are these those trillogy ones? still hear mixed reviews about them about on't net not being able to handle the voltages. Quote
thebutler Posted May 1, 2008 Posted May 1, 2008 Dash turned up yesterday so I had a quick look at it last night. Must say I'm extremely impressed with the quality of the kit. the dash is really solid feeling and looks fantastic in the flesh. All the sensors and wiring are provided along with comprehensive instructions & CD's etc. Great after sales service too. I particularly appreciated the attention to detail shown, like the way they've laminated the wiring schematic printout. This is obviously the bit of paper you'll refer to the most, so it stands a chance of surviving the grubby hand treatment! In my opinion this kit is exceptional value for money, even without the BB discount. Its also nice to see a British company doing something very well Big thanks to Sedsy for organising this buy Quote
