Tigger Posted March 30, 2008 Posted March 30, 2008 Hopefully, it will look something like Martin's above If I was doing it again mate, I'd remote mount the kill switch and operate it by cables. Having it in the dash is a bit of a pain, the battery cables have to have enough slack in them to move the dash out enough to disconnect them. Martin, Where did you put your "C" and "D" button to operate the other functions on the Digidash? I intend to mount them on the Steering wheel for easy access. tiggs Quote
Martin Keene Posted March 30, 2008 Posted March 30, 2008 Sadly the Lite version doesn't allow that function, initially I thought it was a bit of a gimmick, now it's the only thing that annoys me. I use button A quite a bit (I run with ODO, volts & fuel on the road) and having it mounted on the stewering wheel would be useful. Quote
dombanks Posted March 30, 2008 Posted March 30, 2008 just been trying to find out if its SVA compliant and here is an extract from etb's site "The DD2-LITE is SVA (Single Vehicle Approval scheme) compliant and is suitable for all types of sports cars. With the added dimension of the GPS speed camera upgrade and with the number of traffic enforcement cameras being deployed ever increasing, the system becomes a complete and comprehensive package for the modern road user" Quote
Martin Keene Posted March 30, 2008 Posted March 30, 2008 DD2 LIte is SVA compliant, Muttley's V8 passed with it. Quote

CedricTheBrave Posted March 31, 2008 Posted March 31, 2008 I put a small MPH sticker on mine next to the display, Passed SVA no problem Quote
Tigger Posted March 31, 2008 Posted March 31, 2008 Scooby had a problem with his Aeon build, the sva people did not like the fact that it is does not show if the car speed is MPH or KPH, depends where you go! Just been speaking to John at ETB and as of Dec 4th 2007, they added an extra feature whereby you can set the first LCD display screen to show Speed and RPM by default on power-up. This can be set using the DigiTools software in the configuration menu / general tab, this can be switched on or off as desired (See pic below) Anything purchased before this date won’t have the corresponding firmware programmed on the system, but it shouldn’t be a problem because it was only one particular test centre involved and hasn’t come up since. If it ever does, they can upgrade the display as necessary. Hope that clarifies the issue Tiggs Quote
