Buzz Billsberry Posted April 14, 2008 Posted April 14, 2008 UPDATE UPDATE UPDATE UPDATE UPDATE UPDATE UPDATE POSTED ON BOARDROOM Yesterday Myself Si & Karla went and plotted the route for the 2nd day of The Long Road North "The Dambusters Tour". Starting off at Scotch Corner heading off down the A66 then a quick right off the 66 and basically wiggling are way back across country up to the lakes up into the Scottish Boarders and ending up in Berwick. All I can say is if you think the coast to coast route was excellent then this is absolutely amazing with some of the best driving roads for a Westfield I've seen in a long time & complimented with some fantastic stunning views over wonderful country side it makes the C2C look positively second rate and we all know how fantastic that was. If you don't do any other event in your Westfield make sure you do this one I'll guarantee you it will be the event of the year. Get your self registered this is one NOT to miss Buzz Quote
studbuckle Posted April 14, 2008 Author Posted April 14, 2008 I was lucky enough to be in the drivers seat for all of yesterday. Although a) I was in the tin top and b) the rev counter was in the passenger seat with the laptop AND notebook AND fruit pastels I still enjoyed the drive. The re-working we're doing on the Saturday will help to join the good bits together better but Sunday, being furher north into less populated areas is blinding. I appreciate the comments from Buzz, it's great to have that vote of confidence from the ground. Quote

LordB Posted April 20, 2008 Posted April 20, 2008 What do you get if you put three wscc members in a tin top for a day? Answer, lots of swearing, 56 pages of notes.......... 56 pages ...... clucking bell! Quote
studbuckle Posted April 22, 2008 Author Posted April 22, 2008 Yes indeed. The C2C roadbook was 70 double sided A4. I think TLWN could easily beat that. Quote

studbuckle Posted May 21, 2008 Author Posted May 21, 2008 This one or This one are both 'decent' and near the start on the South Yorks/Debyshire side. Which is the side i'd reccomend people to aim for to get to the start. Quote
