I have not posted anywhere (particularly on this thread) that this event is full, therefore please use some common sense and realise that space is still available.  :D  :D  :D  :D  :D  :D

When this event is full I will make a posting to say so.  ;)  ;)  ;)

Form and cheque sent.

This will be my first track day on my own (i.e. Without dad) so be nice!

Im coming up from Kent to do the track day but on the way to visit some friends for the weekend a bit further north. Consequently I'll have a car full of rubbish!

Is there anywhere secure at Mallory that I can leave stuff?

yes

Thanks Mark. I'd hate to leave my pearly jacket lying around and loose it!!!

Hi

This will be my first ever track day and possibly my last depending on how I get on with it.  I have a few questions regarding insurance.

I understand that my normal insurance won't cover track days, so do I need to arrange additional insurance for the day?

Is it even possible to get single-day tack insurance?

What will track day insurance cover?

Does everyone arrange additional insurance for track days?

Anyone any idea of likely cost?

Sorry to ask so many daft questions, but I'm totally new to this. :durr:

Regards

Jeff

You don't *need* insurance, but...

Yep. Some of the kit car specialists do it (your current one may do it), or alternatively have a look in the classifieds of PPC mag or similar :t-up:

Policies (as always) differ, but basics is damage sustained to your car.

Nope, I don't. But that is the risk I am willing to take. When I did quickly look into it five years ago, it just wasn't worth the premium (and the excess if the worst did happen) to insure it in the first place.

Sorry, no idea now - things may have changed, but I doubt it...

Unless things have changed insurance will be an expensive premium and an astounding excess (which you are unlikely to exceed in an accident).

My view would be take the risk without insurance but more importantly have friends available to get you home in case of the worst case happening.

YMMV
