90% and yep the piston pressure question is wrong, pressure - not force..

..a bit of fun, but misleading/misworded questions several times.

So close 78% and a waste of some more time. I should be reading the boardroom on how to fit my new GTS widetrack instead - do I grease the polybushes and only remove the burrs/powdercoat enough for the bushes to push in?

But i do have a BIG hammer.......... :D

80% - I'm happy with that as I've had no formal mechanical or electrical training apart from doing 'O' Level Physics in er, 1971

82% and that was with SWMBO helping me  :p

Not going to bother with any excuses  ???

94% :p

The fan one is clearly wrong. If you were to turn both fans on they'd be fighting eachother even though the motors & blades would be rotating in the same direction.

I would't trust this person to wire in a suck fan & a blow fan to both sides of a radiator in a car because if they made them rotate the same way as they are suggesting by the answer, i.e. clockwise, the engine will overheat :p  :D

Isn't that why its correct? The very fact they would fight if both turned on says they would both go the same direction one on/one off. unless by same direction they mean both clockwise FACING the fan. Not clear enough question!

This is a very dangerous assumption. Engineers always refer to a reference point. If you are telling someone which way a crankshaft rotates on an engine it is usually made from a reference point, i.e. the front.

In the case of these two fans, assuming they are identical, the one that is switched on will be rotating in the opposite direction to the one that's not switched on. The reference point for comparison being  at the front of each fan for example. :sheep:  :durr:

Must agree with Windy there are a few points that are not clear but at least by doing the test non of us have anything to loose its just for fun.
