DerekJ Posted February 20, 2007 Posted February 20, 2007 The wallet belonged to a Jehovas witness, who made a living will stating he would refuse a blood transfusion. Fred was seen looking in the wallet by a mugger, who stabbed him, and left poor Fred bleeding in the gutter. The hospital saw the living will in the wallet, and poor Fred was not given the transfusion in accordance with "his" wishes. Eyethenque! The perfect answer and our WINNER!!! Well done to you! I was going to say that soon ....Honest Nice one Quote
neilwillis Posted February 20, 2007 Posted February 20, 2007 I just waited till all the clues were there. Personally I like Pistonbrokes lateral thinking myself! Quote
pistonbroke Posted February 20, 2007 Posted February 20, 2007 I just waited till all the clues were there. Personally I like Pistonbrokes lateral thinking myself! Not to get to personal, but any of a dozen or so of the previous suggestions would have been just as plausible Good laarf while it lasted I thought "Neil the Bard" would throw his hand in sooner or later My next suggestion was going to be Mrs White, in the parlour, with the hammer Quote
V8grunt Posted February 20, 2007 Posted February 20, 2007 Fred would have received some of the best medication available! Quote
Captain Colonial Posted February 21, 2007 Author Posted February 21, 2007 Not to get to personal, but any of a dozen or so of the previous suggestions would have been just as plausible Absolutely! The problem was that everyone was guessing complete solutions before they had asked "yes or no" questions, and thus took longer to arrive at the answer, which was aided by clues and hints (I'm such a nice man!). People should ask more "yes or no" questions first on the next one. Quote
Lurksalot Posted February 21, 2007 Posted February 21, 2007 Hmm I suppose you have to think very laterally when the answer involves a mugger who doesn't steal the wallet Quote
Captain Colonial Posted February 22, 2007 Author Posted February 22, 2007 Hmm I suppose you have to think very laterally when the answer involves a mugger who doesn't steal the wallet Ah - the mugger didn't take the found wallet - he took Fred's wallet! Thus the mistake! Quote
Lurksalot Posted February 23, 2007 Posted February 23, 2007 whoops missed that one ... He saw Fred looking in *a* wallet , knifed him and then went through his pockets to find Freds wallett ......OK ..... I should pay more attention sorry.... Quote
