Lateral Thinking Puzzle #2

Hello, and welcome to the Lateral Thinking Puzzle #2.

A puzzle will be presented to you, and you have to solve it, using only questions that can be answered by me with either a "yes" or a "no".  I may also clarify something in more detail, but only if I think a "yes" or "no" answer will cause trouble or deviation.

You may propose a detailed answer to solve the puzzle at any time, but do bear in mind that I can only answer "yes" or "no", and if your answer is not completely right, you won't win!

If you already know the answer to this puzzle, please don't spoil it for the rest.

The winner will receive the eight empty wine bottles from last night's dinner party at Casa Colonial.

Disclaimers: No salesman will call.  Void where prohibited by sanity.  Your house is at risk if you set fire to it.

So here we go:

Fred is walking to work when he sees a wallet lying on the ground.  Being a good Samaritan, he decides to pick up the wallet, find out to whom it belongs, and return it to its rightful owner.

However, his good intentions prove to be his undoing, and before the end of the day, Fred is dead.

What happened to Fred, what was his cause of death, and why did he die?

It was his own wallet. He came to realise that the life he thought he knew, was actually false. He suddenly flashed back to the "accident" (which was referred to in book 1 of the trilogy). For the rest of the day he found that everything repeated itself twice. Driven to insanity he took his own life in a bizarre baguette experiment. Fred finds the owners details from inside the wallet .

He is suprised to find it is a the property of a beautiful young lady , who owns a high class escort service.

Fred returns the wallet , and in gratitude the owner offers him the best night of sexual pleasure ever , for free,  with any of the girls on the menu .

Fred accepts,  but during the climax of his evening, due to him being 93 years old , he unfortunatley suffers a major heart attack and dies "on the job"

Fred dies a happy man in the full knowledge that he has filled his ambition in life , death by extacy  :p

Don't we all wish we could go that way!  :p

But sadly, no, not in Fred's case.

Did he die bending over to pick up the wallet?

Some health and safety bloke told us once before that picking a pen up off the floor is a "risk" and explained how many people die due to brain hemorrhages or something every year.
