Edd Posted December 11, 2006 Author Posted December 11, 2006 Well just a little update I found the perfect Busa about 5 months ago and it was sold before i had the money ready. as if by a miracle it came for sale again recently so i have just bought it off John Also own a TVR cerbera now since last time so it should be a good summer Quote
JeffC Posted December 11, 2006 Posted December 11, 2006 FWIW, I run a V8, & its for leisurely jaunts in the country and on picnics only, & would defy it to keep up with any bec . IMHO it requires less driver input as the lack of power has to be treated with no respect whatsoever both going up and down the box.You can use any car for the track only, but the BEC is the best and far away the most economical compromise. If I were using a car for road use only, I'd stick the plaid blanket & picnic hamper in & go for a V8 anyday, but a 'busa would be my choice for road and track.Have a natter with Jeff C, he seems to have it right! HTH Tommo forgot all about this thread.. Tommo was making a lot of sense that day oh and good choice Quote
Edd Posted December 11, 2006 Author Posted December 11, 2006 thanks, got to make a few alterations to the seat to fit me but then get used to the car and try my first track day in it sometime Quote
Edd Posted December 12, 2008 Author Posted December 12, 2008 Two years on and I need another westfield having tried the busa route I feel a nice 4 cylinder thottle bodied engine would suit me fine and should be a nice noise! anyone know anything about MK cars in particular http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/775589.htm thanks Quote
Barry Ashcroft Posted December 12, 2008 Posted December 12, 2008 You ought to seriously consider the V8 I told you about. Quote
Edd Posted December 14, 2008 Author Posted December 14, 2008 if it was 15k i'd have it, but little too much money for what i want to spend awesome car though Quote
nikpro Posted December 14, 2008 Posted December 14, 2008 How much are you looking to spend - I know where there is a very high spec 220bhp Zetec car that is for sale at the right price. Quote
