Darren B
Hi All, For anyone thinking about fitting widetrack as a winter upgrade later this year then I should have fitted the Caged (Siesmic) widetrack for Harewood. You're all more than welcome to come and have a nose at it and see what you think. Having visited the Caged factory, spoken face to face with Phil and heard good reports of their other products, then I am quite happy to pay a bit extra over some of the other ones. I'll be in a BRG V8 which may still have No 42 on the sides (If I forget to take them off from this weekend). Darren
Darren B
Caged (Seismic) wide track now fitted and aligned: No issues with installation. Yet to try it in anger and I'm sure that there is some geometry fiddling to be done as I get used to it.
adhawkins
Is this bulk buy still active, or can I 'unpin' it? Andy
Darren B
Seems to be a lack of interest at this stage. Unpin it for now and I'll look to gather interest for winter upgradeitis
Guest
Looking to sort wide track now... Anybody else interested in reviving this bulk buy?
Darren B
Last I heard Caged weren't doing too well. Don't know if that's the case. If there's enough interest and they are still going strong then I will happily get back in touch with them. Their widetrack did me proud all year in 06 and has even survived an intervention with a tyre wall!

Guest
QUOTE The latest bulkbuy to hit the boardroom The boys at "Caged" have been busy developing a widetrack front set up for the Westfield and it's now ready for sale. As such Phil has offered 8 sets on a bulk buy basis. They are to be marketed under the "seismic" brand but are made by Caged. Spec. CGD 700 high tensile round tubing. 1.2 mm wall . 1" tubing 50mm wider per side than std. track Ball joint compatible Powder coated Includes top camber adjusters (in stainless) Includes rack extensions Enables use of existing shock absorbers Weight (coated) Lower 1.4 kg Upper 650g Suitable for use with metallastic/poly/nylon bushes (not supplied) Bulk buy price £ 411.25 (ie £350 plus vat) to your door. Put names below if you want to commit to the deal Payment will be made directly to Caged and relevant details will be sent out once we have 8 confirmed orders . Sorry there were two threads running last time it was active. As Phil says... caged are still manufacturing cages and bits as before... just ditched Caterham chassis manufacture IIRC. Presume the prices will be the same???
Guest
V8 Grunt... 2003 Factory V8 won't have wide track as standard for the factory... I think they only released a factory kit recently. Thus it would have been an upgrade by any previous owner if it is fitted.
