Blatman Posted March 21, 2005 Posted March 21, 2005 It means they ain't Westfields... Sounds like he builds LoCosts or LoCost type cars to me. If it was my 9 grand, I'd be running away... fast... Quote

Would it be one of these by any chance? They *used* to make a 'Type 7' IIRC, but I cannot find any reference on the website. P'raps there has been unhappiness over the use of '7'... Quote

adhawkins Posted March 21, 2005 Posted March 21, 2005 what then is the diffrence between a westfield and a type7 is this like a westfield copy ?? The same as the difference between a Westfield and a Caterham I imagine. They may look similar, but they're not the same. Andy Quote
wacomuk Posted March 21, 2005 Author Posted March 21, 2005 so is 9k dear for a type7 ?? you all said 9k was cheap for a westfield would i be wasting my money i know this is a westfield forum and your all prob westfield all the way how would a type7 measure up to a westfield ?? Quote
felters Posted March 21, 2005 Posted March 21, 2005 what then is the diffrence between a westfield and a type7 is this like a westfield copy ?? Difficult to say as I don't think we are sure what a type 7 is... a well built Locost is an ok car. But £10k is a lot for a Locost - you can buy a cracking Westy for that money - actually you'd get a half decent Caterham even Whereabouts are you? I suspect that a chat to a few local owners will help you to make your decision. Quote
felters Posted March 21, 2005 Posted March 21, 2005 I think we're saying you couldn't build a new one for £9k. You'll get a cracking second hand one though... Quote
wacomuk Posted March 21, 2005 Author Posted March 21, 2005 what would be a avrage price for a Locost ? and how can you tell them apart from a westfield ? iv been on http://www.locostcars.co.uk/ the cars on there dont look as good as the car im looking in to Quote
