scruffythefirst Posted March 28, 2005 Posted March 28, 2005 Sorry I missed it guys, sounds like you all had a good time Quote
ChrisF Posted March 28, 2005 Posted March 28, 2005 Top blat However I have to say it was all done at a more sedate pace than normal Is this bacause the North Cambs crew didn't lead out Discuss Thanks for the seat Liam....your pinto does have some serious torque...how did my cvh ever keep up with you Quote
markcoopers Posted March 28, 2005 Posted March 28, 2005 What you trying to say, I had to wait at every junction Quote
Andrew Mills Posted March 28, 2005 Posted March 28, 2005 It was fine by me, I thought Liam was struggling with the extra weight he was carrying, however I liked the new seats, did anyone else notice ? Top blat, even enjoyed the run home in the wet and Tanya loved cleaning the Westy this morning, Oh its a hard life ! Andrew Quote
ChrisF Posted March 28, 2005 Posted March 28, 2005 What you trying to say, I had to wait at every junction Yeh...for the on-coming traffic to clear The only red mist moment was Martin Keene in the rear view mirror of a DB8 I thought Liam was struggling with the extra weight he was carrying Trust me...my hand signals helped him no end Quote
kevin harris Posted March 28, 2005 Posted March 28, 2005 excellent run out chaz.many thanks.sorry we had to leave at hunny but prior commitment was pressing.after that it was a long run to milton keynes.again thanks.hope to make the next one as long as you let an old git keep up with you all. regards kevin p.s. not so new now---3hrs to clean it!: Quote
markcoopers Posted March 28, 2005 Posted March 28, 2005 The only red mist moment was Martin Keene in the rear view mirror of a DB8 True, but surprised you could see it all the way back there Although the rover coupe was a second possible candidate Anyways if we were so slow, why didn't you come out with your enforced speed limiter Quote
Liam Posted March 29, 2005 Posted March 29, 2005 Trust me...my hand signals helped him no end Ah, I thought you were shaking something....................... so I went faster Quote
Martin Keene Posted March 29, 2005 Posted March 29, 2005 The only red mist moment was Martin Keene in the rear view mirror of a DB8 True, but surprised you could see it all the way back there Although the rover coupe was a second possible candidate I know nothing... Honestly Ociffer... Car threw a little bit of a wobbly on the way home, was misfiring above 3k under load but fine with no load. Pulled into services between Kings Lynn and Wisbech, filled with fuel (didn't need it, but figured it couldn't hurt) and had a poke about. Carried on and it was no different. Cleared up a bit further up the road. Suspect dodgey batch of fuel with some water in it. Quote
chazpowerslide Posted March 29, 2005 Author Posted March 29, 2005 It was a great day out. There was no hanging about at the front end, Marks newly fitted 1.8 Zetec really pisses off up the road sharpish It seems pretty strong in the mid range but seemed to run out of puff earlier than my 2ltr, however my brakes are definatly better The Cat 4 pots I've fitted seem really progressive. Andy, on the way home and had to keep backing off on the overtakes for fear of running up your chuff, were you backing off or is my car really that much faster than yours Mark B really needs some thrashing experience, how about we do whip round and buy him some tuition Seriously though Mark your car looks really smart and well screwed together, you made a really good job of it, you should be well pleased. Anyway, how come every time we go to Hunstanton the blat turnes into a bit of a GP? (all be it with more overtaking and excitement) I finally got my speedo working at 9pm on Saturday night, after Sunday I kinda wish I had'nt The car is deliciously filthy and has that freshly thashed look, bit of a shame to wash off the battle scares really. Chaz. Quote
Martin Keene Posted March 29, 2005 Posted March 29, 2005 The Cat 4 pots I've fitted seem really progressive b*******, missed them... Anyway, how come every time we go to Hunstanton the blat turnes into a bit of a GP? (all be it with more overtaking and excitement) No comment...
