spudo
I am looking to go the ring in my 1800 Sports Carbon in May...my first time. I understand they have 100dB noise limits on the circuit. Have you guys ever encountered any problems with your cars been allowed on the circuit?
Mark Purves
Never had a problem but they do do test, however the only cars I have seen tested fall into the normal road going cars. They do however seem to give bikes a harder time. Have fun.

Have you guys ever encountered any problems with your cars been allowed on the circuit? They tested mine the first time I ever took it...99.8db. at a very dubious half revs....Sundays are their favourite days to do it..espescially busy ones..on double weekends....Big tip..don't go revving your car/bike around the carpark like boy racers... robsawyer
Add 2 bodies to the list Mark (already emailed you). I hope to go in convoy with yourself? Sound good? My busa came in at about 99db if I remember - those twin zorts were working fine. Not done the Ring before, so looking forward to it big time! Do the cars get checked over at all before they let you on? Rob
Mark Purves
Check check by The Ring except for noise. Well done Rob see you soon, do not forget meet at Elkstone this Thursday.
robsawyer
Ok see you Thurs. Not sure if I'll be out in the Westie though. Was out on Sunday afternoon and remembered to wear the helmet this time, so I didn't get a frostbitten face... Was a tad scary though - foot down in 6th whilst overtaking and span the back wheels! The rear stepped out a bit whilst I was along side the other car - all at about 70mph! Big grin
robsawyer
Ques: just been reading this http://www.nurburgring.org.uk/beginners.html and it says there's a noise limit of 95db ! Should I be worried?
