Graham.J
1. 1981 Land Rover Series 3 109 (LWB) - Great fun, but honestly horrendous to drive 2. 1990 Land Rover 90 2.5TD - Absolutely stonking car, never had so much fun in my life - "Ooh look a river............carry on" "The water's coming in through the doors", "Put your feet up then" - Sold to fund Westy but could've just afforded to keep it.....which is a bu**er, miss that car!!! 3. 1989 Westfield SE 1600 X-Flow - Awesome so far, great fun but bl**dy annoying with the problems/niggles that we've had with it so far. Can't wait to get it out on track Shame I couldn't drive any on the roads

I found my 109 ex MOD 2 1/4 Petrol great to drive. Indistructable, comfy to sit in for hours on end even on the motorway. I drove mine on a commute in to Manchester everyday and i've not had a better vehicle for the job

Graham.J
Hmm, mine was like driving a kangaroo with a thorn in it's foot. Steering was aweful, move the wheel about 1/4 of a turn and nothing happens. Still bl**dy good fun though

SEiGHT
First car was a £300 Talbot Sunbeam 1.6 hatchback in Blatman Green ™. Its handling in the wet makes my S8 feel like it has 4WD. Apart from the entire rear hatch being all glass, the other strange thing I remember is that it had a very big engine bay for the size of car...I wonder if a V8 would have fit ? DavidR
I am not as old as some of the cars listed. The kit car couldn't cope with carying the hang glider. 1975 Fiat X1/9 got stopped by a gun wielding US cop whilst practicing handbrake turns in a Safeway carpark in 4 inches of snow. Scaaaaary 1973 MGB GT same one again ...great for carrying the hang glider on the roof and posing as someone who knew what he was doing. 1977 TR7 1978 Volvo 245 (married with child) big mistake....the Volvo that is Cavalier very dull Renault 21 estate but it drove like a good un. Sierra XR4x4 getting better again. Cavalier SRi thrashable but not any joy Ford Galaxy MPV family now teenagers with bikes and friends. The Westfield HOORAY. . .. . 1991 SEiW 1800 CVH VW passat estate diesel, travelling high mileage and can afford to be sensible now I've got the westie. next stop . . . .. get the Biota going again. .. . and compare it to the westie on the track David.
