Blatman Posted September 17, 2004 Posted September 17, 2004 Well, if replacing Allegro estates with a hillock of EU subsidy carved out of the mountains of EU subsidy money (which is our money anyway ) doesn't sound like a good idea, then I'm all out of good ideas..... Quote
chairemangeezer Posted September 17, 2004 Posted September 17, 2004 Bill may have been sent, but was it paid? I'd be counter claiming for damage due to the farmers negligence, to wit, not keeping his livestock adequately fenced in and protected.... That’s exactly what I said to him. Pete Quote

cidersurfer Posted September 17, 2004 Posted September 17, 2004 Glad everyone's okay! Many moons ago, a horse leapt a hedgerow straight onto the bonnet of my dad's Standard 8, he hit the brakes, the horse slid off and ran away up the lane never to be seen again. There was virtually no damage to the car though?! A few bonnet dents was all. The horse must have been tall enough to straddle it! Quote

Ding - had the same situation when a dog ran out of a farmyard in front of my car. They tried to claim it wasn't their fault but our insurance company still chased then (and got) our uninsured losses because they said the dog should have been enclosed or tied up. Quote
