I know in a post a few months ago I said I would'nt do this but I did'nt realise how I'd feel if it happened to me.

My black Pinto engined SE has been stolen from my home address in Cambridge some time between late evening on 17/06/04 and when I discovered it had gone and this morning.

The car was under a steel framed cover in my front garden about 6" from the house, the theives have lifted the cover, taken the car and dropped the cover back down.

I was going to use the car today for our the treasure hunt (see Events) and hence discovered it missing this morning.

Details as follows.

Reg Q524 KKE

Black.

Chasssis no SD 92 SE 2972.

Engine No. FD 648117.

The Car is in exceptional condition having been totally re-built.

I'll post some pics later.

I suspect that this was not an opportunist theft and the pondlife responsible knew what they were after, the Police are not hopefull as the car could have been stolen up to 17 days ago.

I don't know weather or not I want to sit in a corner and sob or kick things, I have allready canvassed the local area (nobody has seen anything) and I will be doing some flyers later.

The engine is a 2.1 Pinto and is a bit special being an ex lightling rod race car motor (all steel internals and high quality Burton bits)

If you are offered any bits you think are dodgy please PM or Email me and I'll be able to identify if they are off my car.

I'm well f***** off.

Chaz.

I don't live anywhere near you but this kind of theft results in cars moving long distances. I'll be keeping an eye open for it. Truly sorry, I can't imagine how you feel. Thank God for insurance.

Ditto the others comments, chaz.  For what its worth I will keep my eyes peeled in the Northampton area for you.

It may be a little comfort but I am a great believer these sub life beings will get their come uppance one day (you may not be there to see, it but they will).

Insurance may be of comfort but thats not the point, it will still mean considerable hassle for you.  Good luck,  I hope something shows up

Sorry to hear that chaz, it just does not sound like the stuff the local amoeba's would do. Sounds more likely to be dog ruff enthusiast linked. No offence intended.   :arse:  :arse:  :arse:  :arse:  :arse:  :arse:  :arse:  :arse:  :arse:  :arse:  :arse:  :arse:  :arse:  :arse:  :arse:  :arse:

I'd always though that a singular vehicle like a Westfield, or other seven-like car, was un-nickable because it was unshiftable, being one-of-a-kind. But some will nick anything and worry about it later, it seems.

So sorry to hear about this Chaz.

Maybe worth putting some wanted ads in on ebay etc - for some of the specialist parts etc and see if you get anything back.

Hope it gets found, and in good nick.
