conibear Posted June 16, 2004 Posted June 16, 2004 Perhaps you can stop talking out of your about a car you have not seen and have sod all knowledge of. If you call some of your posts about my cars weight "questioning" then I would not like to get on your bad side. You are of course allowed to question anything I state but don't goodness me get upset if I question yours. You must think I am a complete ******, if I am gonna head up to manchester to have my car weighed on the same set of un-calibrated scales that Glen's car was on Monday. For the final time Nick I have had my car weighed already on a "proper" set of scales. IMHO, as said previously I think my car could weigh 520kg, can you accept that Quote
Westfieldman Posted June 16, 2004 Posted June 16, 2004 IMHO, as said previously I think my car could weigh 520kg, can you accept that Yes I can as my Zetec weighs in at 541kg's Quote
Guest Posted June 16, 2004 Posted June 16, 2004 Mr connibear ......... I can offer a set of scales that i know nick will value the readings on if you like ............ thats going to be the only way you can uphold your claims. Quote
Nick M Posted June 16, 2004 Posted June 16, 2004 as said previously I think my car could weigh 520kg, can you accept that Well on that basis, I think my car could weigh 350kg.... Incidentally, I'm not talking out of my A*** about your car - I'm just trying to get some facts, something which you seem keen to avoid. I still don't see what's so special about your car and why I need to see it in order to question you about it. I have plenty of knowledge about Westfields so why is yours so different that it means I have to disregard all of that and "open my mind" ?? Incidentally I *would* think you were a ****** if you went to Manchester to get your car weighed on the same set of scales as Glen, not least because Northampton Motorsport aren't in Manchester..... conibear Posted June 16, 2004 Posted June 16, 2004 Oh, and answer the question about what's so radical about the Duratec install, there's a good lad Ok, it's the lightest CEC install in a Westfield, If you question that my offer to you to come and see it is still open Nick do you come from Scunthorpe Quote
Nick M Posted June 16, 2004 Posted June 16, 2004 Ok, it's the lightest CEC install in a Westfield, If you question that my offer to you to come and see it is still open THAT TELLS ME NOTHING !! WHAT WILL I SEE ABOUT YOUR CAR WHICH IS DIFFERENT TO ANY OTHER WESTFIELD ?? APART FROM THE ENGINE ?? Quote
MARSDALEBEAR Posted June 16, 2004 Posted June 16, 2004 Oh my god,we are turning into a bunch of anal retentives guys, argueing about a few kg! If someone wants to believe that his car weighs less than a sparrows kneecap,so what,it makes him happy and possibly feel superior. Argueing about the weight of a car with the aerodynamics of a brick is pretty futile, and you ALWAYS have to have a driver of varying degrees of corpulenceto add to the mix. Cue thread on "I am not as fat as you" Quote
conibear Posted June 16, 2004 Posted June 16, 2004 Mr connibear ......... I can offer a set of scales that i know nick will value the readings on if you like ............ thats going to be the only way you can uphold your claims. But Harv, why you were very much in agreement with NIckM in his questioning recently Quote
Nick M Posted June 16, 2004 Posted June 16, 2004 I'm not, contrary to appearances, arguing. I am simply trying, initially out of curiousity but now through sheet bl****-mindedness, to ascertain some facts about a Duratec engined Westfield. It seems to be a somewhat painful process.... Quote
Nick M Posted June 16, 2004 Posted June 16, 2004 Mr connibear ......... I can offer a set of scales that i know nick will value the readings on if you like ............ thats going to be the only way you can uphold your claims. But Harv, why you were very much in agreement with NIckM in his questioning recently Because the scales in question were used to weigh a Duratec engined Caterham and are owned by someone who doesn't deal in bulls***. HTH Quote
conibear Posted June 16, 2004 Posted June 16, 2004 WHAT WILL I SEE ABOUT YOUR CAR WHICH IS DIFFERENT TO ANY OTHER WESTFIELD ?? APART FROM THE ENGINE ?? Exactly, Nick different engine, different engine mounts, different ancillaries, different plumbing. MAYBE I SHOULD HAVE WORDED IT LIKE THIS LIGHTEST ENGINE BAY CEC INSTALL IN A WESTIE Can you perhaps consider these facts instead of "questioning" them Quote
conibear Posted June 16, 2004 Posted June 16, 2004 Mr connibear ......... HTH YOUR ON THEN ORGANISE IT THEN Quote
Nick M Posted June 16, 2004 Posted June 16, 2004 Need to ask Harv because he's the one in direct contact with the owner of said scales. I'm sure he'll be along shortly. Quote
