Julie Hall - WSCC AO Representative Posted 4 hours ago Author Posted 4 hours ago Peak District AO here, you think that I would be in charge? no no, not while this lot are around. I was finishing early today because it's raining and going dark at 5, these nutter's tell me, 'these cars have light's don't they?' 'we need more cake' and that's on the ladies table!! We met at the museum, setting off in glorious but freezing sunshine. Glynn's Porsche sounded awesome. Andy Westwood's Westfield is called Precious for a reason!! so he donned his t-shirt and came in the SLK Breakfast in the car museum We came out of the museum to rain, we had already put our roof's on. I had expected everyone to want to head off home, but no, so off we went. It stayed dry so we went through Chatsworth, following the coach from hell, never went above 15 mph. Thankfully we turned up onto Owler Bar, round and to The Cow Shed at Tideswell, where it was now raining. More breakfast Mr Westwood, how many can you eat in one day? The BOY's table. The 'bella bella' table, I mean GIRL's table Him again, Mr Westwood with the first cake of the day A bit of smart parking from Andy Gilbert and Ian at the Cow Shed. Sun's out! Sun's NOT out! Forced I was, forced, to go to The Smithy, Monyash for cake, even though it was raining and already turning dark. The other Andy, Mr Clarke this time, with warmed Apple cake and ice cream, watch out Martin, someone will steal yours!! Mr Westwood AGAIN! more cake Cosy inside The Smithy Andy and Becky with their offering A fantastic day out, we had a laugh, wrote a romantic novel and travelled the world, thanks for coming everyone. For the SORN brigade, don't leave it until next March to come and see us, for the rest of you, see you next time XXXXXXX 6 1 Quote

Neptune Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago Thanks For another great run Julie and everyone else for great company today. I had an eventful drive home. The M1 was so busy tonight, queued from about 3 miles before J 24 on the A50 until J23a due to a lane closure. Then 6 miles before J16 on the M1 my roof decided it wanted to be a kite and left the windscreen. Typically on the Smart motorway section where there's no hard shoulder. I spent 6 miles hanging onto a section of the roof hoping it wouldn't leave and smother the car behind me. So I made it home looking like a horseless carriage. Much less buffering than without the roof !! 2 4 Quote

Paul Hurdsfield - Joint Manchester AO Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago Glad you had a good day out👍 I think we made the right decision, it was heavy drizzle here from just after 9am☔️😟 still got our 10,000 steps in though 😎 1 Quote
Andy Westwood Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago Thanks Julie what great day out despite the weather being a bit damp. We all had a laugh and a brilliant time. Great company and good food, what more could want. See you soon 2 Quote
Julie Hall - WSCC AO Representative Posted 2 hours ago Author Posted 2 hours ago @Neptune sorry to hear about your journey home, I think we will finish earlier now but it was great to hear about your amazing travels and that you could come in your Westfield. @Glynn Walters WOW, AMAZING PHOTO'S, I think we all owe you about £30, that's what bikerpics charge isn't it? You are very kind to do that for us, how thoughtful and selfless, what a guy X 2 Quote
aeg Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago Thank you to all the daft people that came out to play today 🤔 I’m so glad that I don’t live with my mom anymore because we wouldn’t have been allowed out in the rain 🫣 A couple of photos of the day ( somebody has pinched some already 🤣) note no rain on the screen and following the crazy people to lunch ……. the long way round because the route changed after @Julie Hall - WSCC AO Representative gave instructions on which way we were going 🙄 as for my parking at the Cowshed…….in my defence the gap left by @AndrewBClarkeand @ianaliwas huge you could of opened the door of a Rolls Royce , so in my normal race mode of driving I saw a gap and took it 😜 the stewards said it was a safe manoeuvre and I’ve not been fined 😎 And on the way home down the A515 we’ve finally been stopped at the rail road crossing to see a train go past ( we’ve drove this road hundreds of times and thought it was a disused track ) take care guys and see you all soon Luv Andy and Becky 6 Quote

Thankfully you lot just follow me......plus you are used to me by now 😁😍🙄 you do listen to the directions though don't you......... 2 Quote

I don’t think any of us listen, we just have complete faith in our peaky leader. Brilliant day as usual, maybe made even better by the challenging weather. Ended up staying out as late as I can recall on a Peak run.. so many laughs today. Thanks Julie & Glen. 👍 1 Quote
