Your kind sponsorship would be greatly appreciated- Great Manchester Run 1/2 Marathon 18th May 2025

I'd really appreciate kind sponsorship for this event- Most people will know someone who has been touched by cancer and The Christie charity provides enhanced services over and above what the NHS funds. Gifts from the public make a huge difference to the care and treatment that The Christie is able to provide to both patients and their families.. Bagpuss is running for The Christie

Many thanks for all the kind and generous donations received already! Nearly at the half way point!

Thanks for the kind and generous sponsorship @Paul Hurdsfield - Joint Manchester AO I really appreciate it!

I'm still way off my target, so if anyone else has some spare pennies, they'd be greatly appreciated.

Donated mate. It's a longish-winded process but well worth supporting and I'm impressed you can do that Ian, I wouldn't get half a mile let alone half a marathon done!

Many thanks @Flying Carrot Steve for your kind donation and also for encouraging others.

It will be my 31st 1/2 marathon race and my 4th Great Manchester run. it's not the best of routes (bland Manchester industrial areas, with few spectators), but I'm always amazed at the kind donations I get for an amazing charity. Sometimes from people who've received amazing care from the Cristie. These personal memories really pull me through and humble my attempts at this race.

Thanks @Geoffrey Carter (Buttercup)  ! You're very kind and please concentrate on getting better yourself. I hope to see you in June on my way to Hull (then the Alps).

Thanks for the continued support and kind donations from the great people in this club.  However, I'm still way off target, so if anyone else wishes to be generous, that would be great!- Just giving- Bagpuss running the Great Manchester Run

I ran the Wilmslow 1/2 yesterday in training. Great to run with @6carjon & @David lear

It is, until you realise that "Ian" is a fake name and he's been wanted by the authorities for some time now, so he's used to running far and fast.
