X type estates start at about £21k, i believe - this is definitely on my short list :D

New Vectra    Had one for 3 weeks whilst Mazda were fitting a new gearbox in my 9 month old 6!! ??? I must admit, it was very smooth, seemingly well built, had lots of toys to play with :t-up: But what did they do with all the legroom in the rear ???  :arse: There isnt any! Honestly SWMBO's BMW compact has more legroom ??? and the vectra is massive in comparison

Had a 51 plate Saab 93 convertible the summer before last, and vowed never to have another Saab!! Ok, so it was the previous model, but still put me off for life :(

One from left field :- VW Touran 2.0Tdi 140
LOL!! :D  :p  :D

I know you said you didn't like a Renault Laguna but have you checked out the top spec Initiale? I have a sports tourer (posh name for an estate) 2.2dCi. 150bph, GPS, ESP, cruise, heated/memory front seats, parking sensor, leather interior, climate control and much more. :D

TBH, my soon to be ex-Director has what seems to be the same car as you have, and it is very nice, i have to admit. Shame about the extremely light (part) leather interior though

Its just a personal thing im afraid - i just dont want one :p  :p

Though, i do believe that they are miles better than a few other alternatives out there - Vectra (lack of rear space), Primera, Citroen C5 :arse:   , 406 etc etc
