Marcus Barlow - Show and Events Co-ordinator Posted July 3, 2023 Author Posted July 3, 2023 220 miles under the belt today on route to Germany somebody was having a laugh first thing spot the party trick 🙃 the route took us on some barely new tarmac !!! stopped for lunch on the outskirts of Paris unfortunately we were split up on route to the hotel (no blame mentioned 😂) but all eventually rendezvous at the hotel with a tricky car park ramp to negotiate 😅 5 Quote
Marcus Barlow - Show and Events Co-ordinator Posted July 3, 2023 Author Posted July 3, 2023 We went out for a late meal, first restaurant refused us entry it was quite posh and I had a bright orange 2012 Stoneleigh helper T shirt on which probably didn’t help😅 second restaurant was a 24 hour pizza place which ended up being a roadside vending machine so gave it a miss 😆 Mission accomplished found a cafe bar and we had streak and @Paul Hurdsfield - Joint Manchester AO had chicken supreme with a massooosive pepper mill 😆 1 Quote
Mark Stanton Posted July 4, 2023 Posted July 4, 2023 Quote massooosive pepper mill Any jokes that it is a normal size pepper mill are lazy 😁 1 Quote

Marcus Barlow - Show and Events Co-ordinator Posted July 4, 2023 Author Posted July 4, 2023 Just over 200 miles under the belt today 😎 We had a couple of early morning glitches Wayne had a coolant pipe leak and Jim had a loose steering column, both quickly fixed and onward to Luxenbourg 🙂 We enjoyed a nice scenic route through Luxembourg including up a cycle path when Paul was leading 😅 On into Germany and we’ve arrived at a hotel stop for two nights near the Nurburgring 🙂 6 Quote

Marcus Barlow - Show and Events Co-ordinator Posted July 5, 2023 Author Posted July 5, 2023 We stayed up late last night and Terry needed an extra few zedz after breakfast 😆 we had all day to relax before the big event so we had a quick lunch stop in the twisties near Nurburgring and then starting at 5pm the brave trio Paul, Jim and me on the ring while Terry and Wayne spectated at the 16 km corner 😎 my lap time includes car park time !! First on track at 5pm 😁 3 1 Quote

Marcus Barlow - Show and Events Co-ordinator Posted July 7, 2023 Author Posted July 7, 2023 Today we travelled from Rotterdam Europort and called into ER Classics on route, some nice cars for sale but a bit pricey 😵 4 Quote
Marcus Barlow - Show and Events Co-ordinator Posted July 9, 2023 Author Posted July 9, 2023 We are now all home safe and sound.. we did get drenched on the M62 on the way back from Hull ferry port though 😅 1550 miles in 10 days 😎 2 Quote
Paul Hurdsfield - Joint Manchester AO Posted July 10, 2023 Posted July 10, 2023 A word of warning. If you are going to 'do' the Nurburgring and you have a lockable boot lid, make sure you lock it before venturing out on track, also make sure any items in the boot are securely stowed, especially your emergency toilet roll 4 Quote
