Ah right, that’s a very newly built complex.  Handy for the motorway too.  Good luck! 👍

I had a beautiful Red Maple tree removed last year because of its proximity to the house.

Looks like our new one will be delivered in the next few days! 🤞🏻

I'll keep you all updated.

Now I've made it public knowledge I've probably given it the kiss of death🤣

You’ll get it but either way, you can blame me.  Everyone else does! 🤪

So after hanging on for redundancy which seems like it will never happen and becoming more and more grumpy and discontent with my current job after 15 years, I've applied for a job very similar to what I do now as a Automotive Technical Author but on Agriculture machinery/vehicles based in Warwick.

Passed the initial stage with the recruitment person and have just had an 1 hr 10mins Team meeting with 2 managers and all seemed good and relaxed (not what I'm used to being owned by an American Investment company!).

Fingers crossed for the 3rd and final part🤞.

Best of luck, I hope it works out brilliantly for you 👍🤞👍🤞👍🤞

  • 2 weeks later...

My mower has been in for repair for the last five weeks, waiting for parts apparently. Unfortunately the grass decided to carry on growing, to the stage where I’m sure there is a small undiscovered tribe living down there now! I did at one point call them up to ask if they sold combine harvesters but the chap didn’t seem to share my sense of humour 🤪🤣.

I have the mower back finally so this is a ‘what am I doing’ rather than what have I just done post. I got halfway through it yesterday on the highest setting, am at the tip (in a very  unusual queue for Crewkerne) getting rid of a huge sack of grass, then am back to finish the rest. Should stay dry for it at least. Oh, and yea I probably should have a bigger mower but the garden has plenty of awkward corners and slopes so this one is about the biggest which is useable.

Finished! Just need to work out how to get rid of the grass now. The dog wanted to play as soon as I sat down!

Figuring out how I managed to screw this part of my car up so badly, so that I don't screw the next one up as its a right PITA to change.

Took my own and a friends Westfields wheels to have tyres swapped over, ready for our Alpine tour next month.

Loaded up to come back, eight wheels, eight old but very usable tyres.
