Have you reached the point were fibreglass  resin is odourless to you. Have your smell sensors have got used to it?

Thanks for the frequent posts....in the current circumstances it's a good thread to follow

I like the tools in the background -  serious stuff for bodywork resin work. I thought I was unusual with this sort of equipment working in concrete repair for many years and using multi-pack systems💪

Funny you mention the tool board. This morning I decided it needs to go and ordered a decent sized toolbox

Thanks Trev. All I can smell is petrol @Ian Tolfree (tolf) - WSCC AO Rep 😂

This lockdown has really allowed me to push the build on at a decent rate

Ahh the smell of petrol- always a must with a lovely kit car!!

Looks like the build is coming on very well indeed.

So did you ever tell us what the colour will be Gary? The wife just asked (she keeps saying “ooooh Cobra” whenever I talk about the next build 🤣)

Today I fitted the drivers side front wing louvres.

Then I spent some time doing some CAD for interior trim panels.

New new silencers and tailpipe tips also arrived today, so hopefully I can spend some time looking at this during the week.

A friend of mine had a high maintenance girlfriend who announced she wanted “something in a blue box” for Christmas. It turned out she meant jewellery from Tiffany rather than a crate of fosters. It wasn’t a long relationship.

Drivers side rear arch undersealed.

I laid up some GRP for the interior panels.

Then cut them out

And offered them into the car. Some more thinking and work to be done here now.

I wasn’t in the thinking mood, so I started work on the front drivers side arch liner. First I positioned the pre-made rear panel and held it in place with a couple of rivets and a couple of small section of glass.

Then I pieced together the rest of the liner.

This has now been glassed together ready for more work on it tomorrow.

Like a giant sized jigsaw, with you cleverly making the bits as you progress. Impressive work as ever, enjoying and admiring your journey, thanks for the updates.

I undersealed the engine bay side of the front arch liner this morning and let it dry.

Then later this afternoon I glassed it in.

My other job for today was to try and tackle the rear section of the exhausts.

After a couple of hours thinking, planning, cutting and tack welding this is what I ended up with. The old silencers are laid next to the new ones to give an idea of the increase. Hopefully this will be sufficient to get the noise down to an IVA pass level. Also some more “In Keeping” polished tips were added.

I dropped them off for Tig welding and hopefully will collect them tomorrow
