Well done Gary :t-up:

I hope you appreciate my restraint shown so far in not commenting about your escape from the carbon fibre dark side to the light and goodness of the chrome side...

...because that restraint has come to an end.

MMMMMMM....SEXY, SEXY CHROME...

I have been waiting for you to pop in :laugh:

There will be plenty of chrome on this car Scott, I am getting older now so time to join the polishing party

Yep, a fascinating build thread. Great to read about alternative kits. Especially ones like this, that really put how sophisticated, by comparison, the Westfield is, into perspective.

After a lot of faffing around trying to fill the cooling system up, I added a bleed point to the top hose by the thermostat housing. I drilled the centre out of some M10 studding and then tapped it with an M4 thread. I then fixed it into the silicone hose with two nuts, two washers and some sealant.

It worked a treat

I then capped it off with an M4 bolt which I put through a rubber grommet.

I need to try and do something a little neater to seal the bolt into the threaded rod, but I am happy that the idea worked!

I finished off by fitting the airhorns and compressor, they just need wiring in now

If you have a problem with the tee, I bought one of these from Merlin Motorsports to tee off from a hose for the Eleven and it's worked well.

I bought the car up to temperature during the week and bled off the cooling system again. I think there is still a bit of air in it so will have another go when it is on the ground with the back end raised. When it was up to temperature it gave me the opportunity to fiddle around with the fan settings which is controlled by the Fitech.

I also checked all the smaller gauges, and they are all all working

I have also earthed the fuel tank

I dug out my air filter and dropped it on just to have a look

I have loosely connected up the steering rack to the front wheels as well.

So I think I am pretty much ready to start looking at the bodywork
