Errm...............................................oh yeah, the whole ground floor in fact :d

It didn't linger too long though, about 24 hours

I finished welding in the steering rack mounting steelwork and then sprayed it in along with the engine mounts

In preparation for the engine going back in, I spent some time today fitting some cable ties addled around the engine bay and tunnel for the wiring loom whilst it was all nice and clear and easy to get the drill in there. All pop riveted on with a good blob of silicone in the hole first

Been a bit busy today, but I managed an hour tonight to do some reassembling.

Alternator brackets, alternator and new vee belt fitted. The belt is a touch long, it will do for a start but needs to be about 10-15mm shorter

Dipstick was next

Then the starter motor

Lastly I refitted the gear selector, mounting bobbins and bracket to the gearbox

I put the engine back on the hoist tonight and dropped the sump off for two reasons.

Firstly to have a quick look at the big ends and fell for movement. All good so pleased with that. It's all very nice and clean as well giving me more confidence of the rebuild done before I got it.
