Alan Cutler (Adge) - Dorset AO
Build coming on a treat, following with interest. Those door hinges are a simple (dare I say, almost agricultural ) solution. Simple is good in my eyes! Keep up the good work.

I am not convinced the hinges will be up to it, time will tell though!

The build will probably stall a bit for a few weeks, I have just started a major kitchen replacement project including a ground floor layout change
darve
Gary's wife: "You know you now have two garages and took away some of my sunbathing space, isn't it about time you fitted a new kitchen?" Gary: "Erm" Gary's wife: "Actually, you have two toy cars now so you should probably refurb the whole of downstairs" Gary:

Let me enlighten you.......................... The kitchen refurb/downstairs remodel project was actually planned for Easter 2017, but was scuppered by me needing a hernia operation a few weeks before planned date, so it had to be put on hold. When we knew this was the case we decided to do it Easter 2018 instead. So the way it went was:- Me - I want to build a Cobra Wife - Where? Me - Probably rent a lock up or a garage somewhere local Wife - Thats dead money renting. Me - Sulk for a few days, then say I have an idea, I could build another garage Wife - No Me - I wont do the kitchen then Wife - Ok, build the garage (Above is an abridged version, but you get the idea) Now thats how you do it

Simon Marks - North Oxfordshire AO
Hi, Gary, That's why I just turn up with cars and stuff at home - to avoid the "sulking for a few days" stage of negotiations. Mrs Marks has actually asked me on more than one occasion recently if I am going to build another car. That's as close to an instruction as I am ever going to get so, once I have built my third garage, I'll have to get started on something else. KugaWestie
The kitchen is complete, Stoneleigh is out of the way with several very useful conversations completed for various components/parts etc. I had an hour back in the garage tonight re-acquainting myself with how far I had got. So I am back on it now
