KugaWestie
I connected the horn cables up to the steering wheel as my first job and couldn’t get the horn to sound. So I decided to leave it for a winter job and put in a new basic circuit and fitted a momentary button instead. I really didn’t have the time to spend chasing it down. Rory's Dad
These photos show some wonderful work, exacerbated by that SVA wheel by contrast.
KugaWestie
My next job today was to set the front wheels up I did the rear wheels when the diff got bolted in) I started by lowering the car on the suspension at the front and the back to what seemed like a nice ride height. Then out came the axle stands and fishing line After a couple of hours fiddling around and adjusting, resetting the box, measuring, adjusting, resetting the box, measuring (you get the idea), I was happy that the front wheels are set up. KugaWestie
With a horn now working I fitted the steering wheel and cover. Next job was to fit the external mirrors. I saw a solution to this conundrum a while ago that a guy in the US came up with, so I copied his method. I am pleased with how these have come out. IainCameron
Almost there! Those wing mirrors are really smart, Gary, but can you fit the 70mm x 40mm rectangle within them? They must be right on the IVA limit?

KugaWestie
I have decided to have a got at making some harness top mount covers. So I made a little CAD template, then cut out some leather from my off cuts bag Then I applied contact adhesive to all 4 pieces using the template to keep it neat Left them 15 minutes and stuck them together, then weighed them down Be interesting to see how they look tomorrow night, might be a complete fail!!
