I had already done the application and paid the test fee, so all I had to do was phone up and see what dates were available.

Mind that paintwork 😉.

Looking really good, sure it will make good first impression on the examiner. Keep up the good work.

Let's hope not!  😆

Looking amazing @KugaWestie, can't wait to see it in the flesh!

Thanks.

Floor carpets are next, but they will be Velcro’d so hopefully I am finished with the contact adhesive 😷

I intend to fit a Cobra replica gear-lever once registered, but for now I need to do something for a gearknob.

This is one I had in the garage from an MX5 as the gearbox didn’t have a knob on it when I got it.

I decided to have a go at improving it. I put an M10 bolt into it and stuck it in the drill. The drill went into the vice and then I cable tied the trigger into the on position. An instant mini lathe 😂

I sanded it all down, and then applied a layer of filler over it.

Then sanded the filler down.

Then I applied primer, colour and 2K clearcoat.

It’s come out ok and much more presentable. Just needs a few days in the house to cure a bit more

I then removed the floor carpets and glued some carpet onto the box sections.

Woah, you're going too fast.  For us armchair viewers this wonderful build is going to be over too quickly!
