KugaWestie Posted February 22, 2021 Author Posted February 22, 2021 Just now, Dave Eastwood (Gadgetman) - Club Secretary said: Wow, that was fast! I had already done the application and paid the test fee, so all I had to do was phone up and see what dates were available.
KugaWestie Posted February 23, 2021 Author Posted February 23, 2021 Rear bulkhead carpet fitted tonight. The CAD template worked a treat
Alan Cutler (Adge) - Dorset AO Posted February 23, 2021 Posted February 23, 2021 Mind that paintwork 😉. Looking really good, sure it will make good first impression on the examiner. Keep up the good work.

KugaWestie Posted February 23, 2021 Author Posted February 23, 2021 I intend to fit a Cobra replica gear-lever once registered, but for now I need to do something for a gearknob. This is one I had in the garage from an MX5 as the gearbox didn’t have a knob on it when I got it. I decided to have a go at improving it. I put an M10 bolt into it and stuck it in the drill. The drill went into the vice and then I cable tied the trigger into the on position. An instant mini lathe 😂 I sanded it all down, and then applied a layer of filler over it. Then sanded the filler down. Then I applied primer, colour and 2K clearcoat. It’s come out ok and much more presentable. Just needs a few days in the house to cure a bit more
KugaWestie Posted February 25, 2021 Author Posted February 25, 2021 Floor carpets templated/measured and cut to fit.
KugaWestie Posted February 25, 2021 Author Posted February 25, 2021 I then removed the floor carpets and glued some carpet onto the box sections.
KugaWestie Posted February 25, 2021 Author Posted February 25, 2021 I have also fitted my IVA fuel filler cap cover
KugaWestie Posted February 25, 2021 Author Posted February 25, 2021 IVA nut covers fitted to the door hinge plate bolts
