Great run out this morning. Thanks for organising again Julie. Good to see everyone and enjoy some good roads and great weather (for the peaks anyway). I won't steal Julie's cakey thunder but here is a picture of the cars at in the salubrious overflow carpark at Chatsworth Garden Centre, where lunch and much cake were consumed.

Thanks for another great day around the roads of the Peaks with great company.

We both had lovely time and lovely meal and cake too.

Not sure having a sign about calories next to the cakes is a good selling point. I only consumed 1400 calories of cakes. Delicious 😋

Nobody wore a suit today but hey, a girly lives in hope, sigh, one day. First to arrive was Glynn with his BEANO liveried car, Gnasher fits in nicely with his colour scheme and it is very kind of him to leave Dennis the Menace colours to @RobH72😁.

 

 

 

We met at McD's for a quick brew 

 

 

 

 

We took a route round to bring us to Chatsworth Garden Centre which is actually only 6 miles away from the start, my original route headed further West and the weather report made me change my mind on that one.

The Vines Restaurant - is in a lovely setting and comes very recommended, those cakes were exceptional, a cut above and worth every single calorie

 

 

Becky mentioned that she needed some ice cream on the way home, really? well you need company then, so Andy W gave me the route (excellent) that he wanted to take and Becky told me where she wanted to be and off we went.....to the Stone Centre (good choice)......and more sweet treats were consumed OMG!

Can someone please help aeg fix his gear box, obviously the reverse gear is not engaging, that's twice today🙄 tut tut

 

So, listen up, next Sunday we are meeting at McD's as usual, getting breakfast/brunch at The Yondermann before going a run through the Peak District to a road near Hartington to do some filming/photography. Rob has arranged for this to happen so don't miss out, it will be a good one.

Wow what a day !!!! Thank you all for another wonderful day in the Peak District with great friends. Many thanks to Julie for taking us out and about for great roads and views off the beaten track and away from the crowds but a special thanks to Andy Westwood for the great route to the Stone centre avoiding the mayhem of Matlock and all the traffic lights, I’ll put it in my route planning memory banks 🤣 take care and see you all soon Becky and Andy

Glynn is partial to Lemon Meringue but he was inventive and had ice cream with it, watch out! aeg is eyeing it up!!

 

 

Perhaps we need a trip to the Lemon Meringue cafe nr Ashbourne, we haven't been there for ages have we @Trevor Little (Trevturtle) ?

Thankfully our Cake Meister @Andy Westwoodis on holiday next week and Cake Face @aeg is working, so @AndrewBClarke you have a clear run of it.
