si_salisbury Posted April 24, 2022 Posted April 24, 2022 Thank for the great route and great ice cream 🤤. had a little down moment on the way back. Coming around rainworth on the A617, had a terrible noise coming from my drivetrain😖, with the car juddering which goes when the clutch is pressed in. time for the truck of shame, sitting in a gateway for two hours. 8 Quote

Labrat Posted April 24, 2022 Posted April 24, 2022 Great to see everyone and have a Westfield to drive in too. The view from the back of the convoy was amazing- the colours were really popping with the full sunshine. Sorry we missed you at Happy Hens this time- I was busy being hoodwinked into having a tropical freshwater aquarium.... watch this space. A different angle from the carpark in Matlock (complete with finger tip!) See you next time. 4 Quote
NigelO Posted April 25, 2022 Posted April 25, 2022 For a sunny Sunday, the roads were remarkably free of dawdling Sunday drivers an errant cyclists. This was one of the fastest runs I've been on, and the whole train of a dozen Westfields (after Labrat baled out early for family duties...) stayed pretty much together for the whole run - remarkable. As anyone who has been on a multi-car run knows, the people at the back have to work pretty hard to keep up. Seeing as the roads were so empty, I have it on good authority that Julie may have drifted ever so slightly above the posted speed limit on one or two (or more) occasions. This meant that the back of the convoy was having a great time exploring the upper limits of grip round some of the twistier bits.... Good fun 😁 5 1 Quote

I can say that this morning I feel like I had a good work out yesterday and my fitbit tells me I did a hours cycling 11:00-12:00😮 1 Quote

It’s looking like a new gearbox is needed. 5 Quote
