Robin Parker (Red Spider) - Yorkshire AO
12 hours ago, Andy_R said: Not sure if anyone is interested but I'll have this passenger foot rest with me tomorrow morning if anyone wants it. ย It was custom made for me by a member in Yorkshire and has a nice lip at the back to allow for storage of a small bag (I used a small black cooler bag as it was hard for anyone to see I had anything hidden behind the step). There is velcro on the bottom to stop it slipping. It was made for the wide bodied and fitted both my X-Flow & SEiGHT. ย It cost me a beer so if anyone is interested all I'll want for it is a drink or slice of cake when we stop for lunch. Perfect for someone with a dodgy knee, @Julie Hall - Joint Peak District AO.

Julie Hall - WSCC AO Representative
We met at Matlock, there were lots of us and then Rob came with a load more, oh my and wow, what a great turn out. Thank you to everyone that came out in the lovely sunshine with their lovely cars. ย McDonalds car park ย ย We set off in a 12 car convoy looking amazing, through Chatsworth, Baslow, Barlow, up to Owler Bar and to Bradwell, waving at a load of classic cars with rally plates coming in the opposite direction. ย We had a good run with no issues and arrived at the Travellers Rest just in time for a hearty lunch. ย Travellers Rest car park ย ย Hearty lunch's ย ย In the Travellers Rest ย ย Most people scooted off in all different directions leaving 3 Andy's (and Becky, Mad Dog Pete and Debbie) to come with us to Adam's Happy Hen's in search of cakes. Luke, Gemma and the girls were just walking down the driveway as we arrived so we all enjoyed a tea party together. ย Adam's Happy Hen's car park ย ย Creme egg smashed onto a cookie, yum yum. ย ย Tea party ย ย Thank you to everyone for coming today, I hope you have enjoyed it as much as we have, look out for the Easter run out next weekend.

Julie Hall - WSCC AO Representative
Finally it has happened, there was an accident today at the entrance to Quackers. It is a fact that you can only have so many near misses before you have a hit. I have copied and pasted the facebook post from Thornbridge Hall below @NigelO ย **UPDATE** THE A6020 HAS REOPENED, NORMAL ACCESS IS RESUMED Access via our main entrance is currently blocked due to an accident. They hope to have it open again soon. We have staff out helping to divert visitors in and out. For now please use our entrance on Longstone Lane. ย For anyone that is not familiar with Quackers cafe, you absolutely cannot turn right out of the entrance and turning left is a foot down and go for it job. It is on a blind bend speed limit 50 mph. I have asked for them to put a mirror on the wall opposite and they say that they can't because then they would be liable๐ ย While I am here, what fantastic photo's everyone has posted, aren't we a colourful bunch? thank you x 2
Labrat
It was inevitable really. Even in a fast car the foot down and hope for the best is a bit 'squeeky bum' at times. Glad it wasn't any of our group though.
NigelO
12 hours ago, Labrat said: Glad it wasn't any of our group though. It very nearly was last year - I estimate the 3-series BMW missed me by < 6" (it was doing well over 50mph) and the BMW only missed the oncoming car by about 6" after it swerved to miss me. If I had been a foot further out, it would have been a huge three-car accident. ย A side impact into the right hand side of a Westy with a 2-ton BMW doesn't bear thinking about.
