Manchester Area Meeting Wednesday 8th Sept 21

Paul Hurdsfield - Joint Manchester AO

Recommended Posts

Ok you lot, Wednesday looks good, we haven't had a face to face meeting for yonks and now it is allowed we need to get back into the swing of things.

I am proposing that we meet at our long time venue The Horton Arms, Chadderton. at 7pm if working folks can make that time, and go for a little run before the light goes.

So who's up for it?

If yours is a track focused car and you don't normally come to the meetings don't worry just come along and tell us about your car and I'm sure there will be passenger seats available for a ride.

We really need members to show some enthusiasm even if it's only for the social side of things which is great, a bunch of like minded petrol heads talking about cars.

What is going on in the Manchester area
It seems we now have joint AOs, well where the F... are they?

Even if they no longer have a Westfield or have something else on, they should still be promoting the monthly meetings and encouraging the membership to sort themselves out :angry:

I proposed a return to our regular meetings on here and in the NWKCOG, I got a few reply's and last night 2 Westfields and 2 Tigers had a great run out in the fading sunlight.
So come on, we can do Saturday or Sunday breakfast runs if members find Wednesday evenings are a no go, we can join Julies fantastic Peak District runs, It's not a mega distance away, parts of the Peak District are in Greater Manchester (just in case your geography is not very good)

Yes folks this is a RANT and I am angry  and believe me you wont like me if I get angry (yeah I know some you may not like me anyway, but whos gives a flying you know what)
THE MANCHESTER AREA WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TOJUST FADE AWAY WHILE I AM A MEMBER OF THIS CLUB.

🤣🤣🤣 that's funny Paul (Mr Angry) your always in thailand:getmecoat:

I have written mag reports and promoted monthly meetings while in Thailand when I was AO, the clue is in the title Area Organiser you just have to organise things even if your personal circumstances dictate that you can’t  be there.🤔

Paul,

l like the idea of a Sunday breakfast meet with a run afterwards, I’ve been on two of the Yorkshire rabbles brekkie meets and they are very well attended ,need to find a good venue or maybe a choice of venue around the area but the important thing are good roads around the chosen venue.

I could start the ball rolling if you like with breakfast close to where I live (Bacup)and a run around the Ribble

Valley ?

Then maybe someone else could organise the next one close to their home and so on.

We definitely need to waken up and use our cars more !!

Anyone with anymore ideas post here if you like.

I have long made it clear I didn't want to continue as AO. But no-one has offered any support whatsoever!

Request for new AO in Summer WW was the 2nd one - NO responses at all.

Again ZERO support offered from any members in Manchester area - & what makes it even more upsetting to me is that I spoke to you in detail about how I was struggling to cope with everything especially family illness situation @Paul Hurdsfield

And then you have a rant at me!!

The only reason I am still down on forum as AO is because I felt obliged to the club that area queries should be dealt with by a local member as I didn't want the area to totally die.

I AM NO LONGER AO

@Dave Eastwood (Gadgetman) - Club Secretary

Please remove all my AOship details.

And I believe @John Williams (Panda) - Joint Manchester AO does not want AOship and that his 'title' is purely a legacy admin issue post Speed Series Secretary ship.

the only one to have regularly contributed to WW throughout my time as AO.

And I've never missed a report either.

I thought John panda Williams offered to continue and take a more active role with Louise being joint AO with him.

I’m sure it was posted in the what’s App group but can’t find I at the moment.

On a personal note, thanks to Dave for his work since I joined the foray, had some good guidance in my early days and we had some great run outs.

I think the writing was on the wall when Dave sold his car and bought a 1 man pedal power machine.

All the best Dave and don’t be a stranger !

I would be up for popping over for a run out that way.

on the flip side I have a few great routes round north Wales if you fancy a good day out?

Many thanks Jim, muchly appreciated.

I put hell of a lot into AOship for several years.👍

Life has gone against me Westie wise, for the time being. I fully intend to get back into ownership.

I also fully intend to join in when able, even if it'll be AutoMX5 wheels 😖 I may even meet under E power if in vicinity of the Valley of the Wild Garlic 🤪

I’m sure we can sort a reasonable breakfast venue. My shift mean I have weekends free one month and mid weeks the following so it’s a bit hectic trying to organise suitable dates but I will try and look at some dates and put something together
