Andy Westwood
What great day thank you Julie and Glen. The route was great the was great and of course the company was great too. We meet Billy on the side of the road about 200 yards from the garden centre on the way home. (15.00hrs) wait for the AA truck. Hope you didn't wait much longer Billy.

We had the 'Andy cake off' and without a doubt it was Andrew-ABC who was the winner, with Andy-aeg coming in second, leaving Andy Westwood a challenge on his next visit. The boyish good looks will have to be on top form, oh and ordering a double sized piece of cake helps too. Here are the rest of my photo's, please add yours too. At Fairway's Garden Centre, Ashbourne our meeting place this morning. Thank you to Dave and Ian for trying to sort out my engine woes, I think you are right about the air leak on the manifold, there is a big sooty section on the right throttle body. Good job Ian has 3 arms and can be a brolly dolly as well. We went our run out on the back lanes of Dove Dale which were just wonderfully empty, skirted Bakewell to finish at Quackers Cafe for cake. Our resident cat, Bagpuss, was missing from Ian's bonnet today, good job that I dressed accordingly, although I don't think I would do well on the bonnet! The Westfield Tractor, like a Lamborghini one only better Another cracking Peak District run out, thank you for joining us and hope to see you next time XXXXXXX Fantastic run out really nice meeting everyone thank you for making us feel welcome can't wait for the next one look forward to seeing you all again soon 😎

Popular Post BillyPee
Made it back home safely in the end. Fuel pump packed in as we left the garden centre. Spluttered to a stop just before the first roundabout in Ashbourne. There was no clicketty-clack from the fuel pump. Checked fuse and it was fine. Checked wires were still connected and they were. So assumed that fuel pump had packed in. RAC man checked over the car and established that there was power to the fuel pump so it was that that had given up the ghost. Just had to wait for a trailer then. Was quite warm so waited under a nearby tree. Thanks to those who stopped from the club. And especially the lady who brought us a couple of cans of pop because she passed and thought we looked thirsty! At least it is a quick and easy fix and shouldn't keep us off the road at all.
Rob Hunter - Club Secretary
@BillyPee glad you got home safe, wasn't a great day for reliability today! On the bright side, neither of us had anything fall off, so no "magnet of shame" at the next meet 😂
Ian Kinder (Bagpuss) - Joint Peak District AO
Very, sorry to read this @BillyPee I'd agreed to be the 'fool at the back', though you and @HB46443 didn't do the 'Le Mans' Start required and got left behind initially. I'd got you both in my mirror's leaving the garden centre but traffic was heavy and hoped you'd catch up. Hedlley did, but we didn't know about you. Hope you're soon fixed and see you soon. Best regards, ian

New hoses and clips ordered ready for next weekend. It's one of those days I think, at least everyone got home safe. The photo's are lovely, we create quite a queue at a junction so that also makes for a good photo opportunity that I don't get. I will do that again where I give out a postcode for further on in the route, then at least we have a good chance of staying together. You all did well today, we must have looked quite a sight in a long line of cars.
