Richard (OldStager)
Hi, During lockdown one I started typing on the PC my full motoring history from the time I first got a provisional licence back in the moped days. The document goes right up to present day and was a great way of passing the time in lockdown. I added in apart from the vehicles some funny and memorable incidents relating to each one - some of which were not strictly legal ( cough cough) I was inspired by my father who a week before he died did his car history, I was four at the time so had no knowledge of this at all. Thankfully family members passed this onto me years later and what I great read it was, all on reams of foolscap and rolled up into a tube. Anyone else done this ?, bit too embarrased to put my rendition on here, but it's amazing what you remember if you try.
Quinten
Not so much my full motoring history, but I do keep a blog on my Westfield ownership. My second and my current one.
TAFKARM
I think these a thread on it somewhere, we found out @Dommo ended up owning my awesome e30 318iS (that I certainly didn’t crash into a barrier drifting on a roundabout in Wolverhampton) Found it 1
Richard (OldStager)
Ah, well done, I am not alone then. My one is done via MS word, so not sure how or if I should post it as it was really done for my own benefit. I started it in April last year and finished it September ish, not that I have had thousands of cars, but rather I kept remembering stories that went with them. I enjoyed doing it as well. Richard (OldStager)
Not sure admin would be too chuffed, it's 24 pages in A4 format. As a recent member, is there somewhere on my account that I can upload a Word doc and have it for download for members only?.

Richard (OldStager)
I have started another thread over on the members only section, as that is the only way I see so far to allow my file to be seen only by WSCC, if this is wrong admin, please move to where ever, as long as it is for WSCC only

Blatman
I'm thinking some of these stories/anecdotes would make good copy for the magazine...
SootySport
It’s something I was going to do when indoors and nothing to do outside when crap weather. The idea of writing my work history, my two grandfathers stories, mother and fathers history and my personal story has bubbling in my head for a few years now. Should fill a book but but I’m no natural writer. My daughters boyfriend is an author and prolific writer on websites, perhaps I’ll ask him for advice and help to structure it all. Richard (OldStager)
To be fair, I hadn't written so much since school English lessons ( 40 odd years ago). What I did took 5 months in all, as I kept deleting, rewriting, deleting, rewriting, you get the picture. A natural writer I am not, but I did have the time , which was handy, and I guess I wrote it as I would speak it should we be in a pub one night. Go for it @SootySport

Go for it @SootySport Good advice and future son in law did say he’ll proof read it. Going to be long time though, I’m not one for playing with keyboards for more than 15mins at a time.
