KugaWestie
I am looking for some help from any Mark One MX5 owners. I have a brake servo and master cylinder fitted on my Cobra build, and have a niggling doubt that I need to eliminate. Here is an image of my Master cylinder and plumbed brake lines Currently I have the rears fed from the rear port and the fronts fed from the front port on the master cylinder. Can someone have a look at their MX5 and tell me if this is how Mazda have the brake lines plumbed please? @Rush Motorsport @a15cro @AdamR @Gary Taylor - Scotland AO Thanks Gary
Gary Taylor
Hi Gary yes that’s how mine are done front m/c to F on valve, F to front brakes. rear m/c to the in arrow on valve, out arrow to rear brakes. so your right 👍 One point to watch is that when bleeding is to bleed the pressure switch as well or the T can hold air
AdamR
I'm no longer an MX5 owner, sorry Gary. That feels weird to say! 1

I have heard of a few IVA fails lately where the rears are locking up before the fronts and it was niggling away at me!
Gary Taylor
Yes they appear to be with the Westfield m/c I’ve used the mx5 m/c , valve and callipers the last twice and they were spot on at iva the new build is the mx5 m/c , valve and different callipers So will double check but don’t foresee any issues as the biasing will be the same
KugaWestie
Yes I am hoping all will be ok on the cobra as well as there is some built in proportioning on the MX5 set up already I think
