How’s the new Wessie Dave?

First challenge. My Dash2 died in Doncaster due to moisture ingress. RT are shipping one to my hotel in Austria. I’ve stripped it apart and dried it in a bag of rice overnight . About to refit it as we dock

I guess it rained a little?

France is forecast for 40c this week, so it will all dry out

I hope so. The bag of rice hasn’t fixed it 😱

Bagpuss made it on board and we put @Dave Eastwood (Gadgetman) - Club SecretaryIn charge of charging 😁

Oh dear, it's horrible driving without a dash.  Years ago a friend had an Astra with one of those "space age" dash displays which would sometime go blank.  As a passenger, I would occasionally catch him peering into other cars on the motorway to find out how fast we were going...

Do you have a sat nav which displays your speed?  That would be something at least.

We’ve had a pleasant drive through Belgium, the Netherlands and into Germany. Rather warm now

we’ve wound our spring perches up to give increased ground clearance ready to board the train in Düsseldorf

Train is rather warm and cosy 😁

No problem getting the cars on the train. We didn’t get our hoops bashed in or our sumps fowled.

Just spoke to DHL and I’m collecting the parcel in Innsbruck at 10:00. It was originally on a end of Fri delivery to the hotel👏 So whilst the rest of the gang wind down their suspension, I’ll be collecting and fitting my Dash2
