Firstly, a special thank you to @syman84 for inviting us to Michelle's 40th birthday last night, it was a great party and the live band were fantastic. The last time we met Michelle's dad we were at The Strines, it was freezing and he was in a turquoise Robin Hood, about 4 years ago, so it was nice to catch up with him too.

I indicated right to turn into Tissington, but no, no, no, the road was closed due to the well dressing being on. Parking was in an adjacent field - in a Westfield? I don't think so, plus imagine the crowds, no, no. We continued, which was actually the route I had planned for later, so Glen and I racked our brains for somewhere suitable to take 10 cars, we carried on the route and STOP STOP STOP we met this fine fellow

An irate farm contractor, who met 2 of his work mates coming in the opposite direction in equally large vehicles. The road sign states 'unsuitable for long or wide vehicles' he had no brake/reverse lights, no tread on his tyres and the number plate is half hidden, and then he had the audacity to get out of his vehicle and tell us to back up, but only after he had aggressively reversed and braked hard towards me. I had nowhere to go obviously and had to sit there and gulp. Long one short, Glen got out and told him what an unpleasant man he is, I had kittens and we all turned around and went on a different road. Phew.

It's not worth messing with them, you'll end up worse off! I dropped Lauren and her friends off at Alton Towers yesterday morning before heading to Dave's. On route to Dave's I caught up with a tractor (no trailer) and the road and view was looking okay for an overtake. The tractor driver did turn round and gave me a good stare, I then expected him to wave me past! I could see a farm enterance on the right just in front of him, so I held back. Good job I did, as he turned right without hand signals or indicators - and he knew I was behind him!

Yes, it cost me a few seconds, but much better than being hit and dealing with all the paperwork etc.

Good Advanced Driving there Ian. It was his 'I will run over your car attitude' that amazed me the most. Anyway, good to hear Dave's car is coming along and here are some photo's from a member of the Burton Car Club that was in Matlock Bath
