GaryD1971 Posted May 25, 2019 Posted May 25, 2019 What's your mostest favourite album folks? The one you couldn't possibly live without? Looking at the many variations of cars across this site, I'm guessing that there will be a wide variety of different styles and genres and I would love to see what you like to listen to! Mine is "How to make friends and influence people" by Terrorvision. Take it away folks.... 1 Quote

Robin Parker (Red Spider) - Yorkshire AO Posted May 25, 2019 Posted May 25, 2019 Never had one particular favourite, just like loads of different stuff. New York, London, Paris, Munich. By M. (Pop Muzik possibly all time favourite song) Making Movies by Dire Straits. No Parlais by Paul Young. Diesel and Dust by Midnight Oil. Night at the Opera by Queen. Infected by The The. The Whole Story by Kate Bush (Greatest hits) I always think the music you hear from the age of 15 to 25 stays with you forever. Quote
Nemesis Posted May 25, 2019 Posted May 25, 2019 Older than my years.... BUT Roy Orbison 'A Black & White Nite'.... A stage full of talent (Glen D. Hardin, James Burton, Jerry Scheff, Ronnie Tutt, Alex Acuña, Jackson Browne, T-Bone Burnett, Elvis Costello, k.d. lang, Bonnie Raitt, Steven Soles, J.D. Souther, Bruce Springsteen, Michael Utley, Tom Waits & Jennifer Warnes) playing real music, and not an ego in sight, live music beats studio carp hands down! Quote

SootySport Posted May 26, 2019 Posted May 26, 2019 Two albums are fighting inside my head to be my fave- Inside the gold mine- Neil Young Dark Side of The Moon - Pink Floyd Sorry just can’t make up my mind. Quote
Onliest Smeg David Posted May 26, 2019 Posted May 26, 2019 Having a very large very eclectic range of CD and vinyl (I almost constantly have albums playing {when Mrs Smeg isn't about} ) it's virtually impossible to post just one. Favourite album of all time - it's not a constant! I always have a favourite of 'the moment' Quote

I always have a favourite of 'the moment' As we have discussed this is also my view - however Floyd’s Wish You Were Here is the one album I’ve consistently listened to right through the last 40 years since I bought my first copy (on the third now). It certainly doesn’t reflect my current “taste” as the rest of the stuff I listen to is as off the map as yours is! 1 Quote
jimthedrummer Posted May 27, 2019 Posted May 27, 2019 jonjh 1964 sounds like you are a fellow ex punk. That is an excellent album. I seem to return to early Stranglers stuff, especially Black and White. I could never choose one album, it all depends what kind of mood you are in. Sometimes Neil Diamond hits the spot!!! Quote
