andy665 Posted July 24, 2017 Posted July 24, 2017 I don't dislike the FW rear but much prefer the original - seems like its trying too hard to be different, the classic original lines work best in my opinion but I don't think that most owners of one rear end would prefer the look of the other Be interesting to see what the used market thinks about them - my gut feeling is that the FW rear end cars will prove more difficult to sell 1 Quote

PMSL From following the ads on Pistonheads, here etc I certainly would not say FW rear end cars sell quicker than original rear end cars, obviously wide differences in prices, specs etc so difficult to draw concrete conclusions but I'd love to see proof that FW rear end cars sell quicker? When I visited a dealer specialising in the sale of Westfields before I bought mine he said that demand was higher for the original cars, this could obviously change over time - who am I to argue Quote
Matta Posted July 24, 2017 Posted July 24, 2017 IMHO it's the spec that sells a Westy for decent money and doubt as time goes by the Kit/ZK/FW shape will come into it much in reality. Matt 1 Quote
Steve (sdh2903) Posted July 24, 2017 Posted July 24, 2017 Does it matter? Different strokes for different folks. The Mrs thinks a range rover evoque is the mutts nutts, I think it looks like a fat b******d has sat on a proper range rover! The Fw rear is my preference due to the indentation on the ZK rear panel for the spare wheel as I wouldn't be carrying one. Yes picky I know. The Fw rear also has the added benefits of free detachable wings which is a cost option on the ZK. Quote
Never Too Old Posted July 24, 2017 Posted July 24, 2017 It's all about personal choices, if you do not like the rear of the FW then don't buy one - simple! 1 Quote

Ah but the OP was lamenting the fact that most of the cars with the Spec he wanted were FW style but he preferred ZK - not quite so simple Quote
BenD Posted July 24, 2017 Posted July 24, 2017 i prefer the fw rear end to the fw front. i think the s2000 kits withthe fw rear and the zk front with the v8 bonnets look the best but its all down to personal choice. 1 Quote
SootySport Posted July 24, 2017 Posted July 24, 2017 I love the looks of the FW, makes it stand out from the rest of the "7" crowd and it still looks like a Westfield. Quote
Kevin (Mr T) Posted July 24, 2017 Posted July 24, 2017 Hated the FW rear when I first saw it, love it now. Nothing can beat the proportions of a pre-lit though Quote

Steve Smith - Joint Hampshire & IOW AO Posted July 25, 2017 Posted July 25, 2017 A couple of question. How long has the FW been on sale. I also like the look of the sport turbo but is it available in uk? Quote
