A flat washer dropped while working on the car will always roll under the car and stop just out of reach in the centre.

Continuing the 'dropped nut' theme.

If you are working on your car on a sloping street, a dropped nut will roll uphill and into a grid.

Oh that old chestnut. A dropped nut will not only roll uphill to a grid, it will roll around obstructions to get to one. In fact, there's something about being screwed on to a Westfield that seems to allow fasteners to become sentient over time, I'm sure!

The definition of Sod's Law is that every piece of wire/wood/pipe/string etc., that you carefully cut to a specific length, will always be a half inch too short.

It takes longer to say the abbreviation "double you, double you, double you" than it takes to say the original "world wide web"

But it's shorter to type SA than it is to say Smart A***!

edit: @John K  that one has to be my favourite so far, but as a web developer I just don't get why so many people still use "www" at all these days!
